this is actually insanely impossible for the pilots to make a smooth landing on the md11 because of the hard landing problems it has. good job capturing this on camera

I was the pilot on that day. A 30kt crosswind on landing (18R) and on takeoff from 18L. On the limit for the -8. During the takeoff roll the wind was very turbulent due to the terminal buildings and you can see that in the amount of rudder movement. Thanks for recording the event.
