At 14:24 mesh direction what plugin is it? Thanks!
@3DBeast3 күн бұрын
You don't need to install any plugin. It's part of the native Kangaroo plugin in Grasshopper. Make sure to search without spaces like 'MeshDirection' or look in the Kangaroo tab under 'Utilities'
@lighthouse44432 күн бұрын
@@3DBeast Ooooh, thanks! 😄I just added the space not finding the mesh direction. there's another one at 15:40, flip last battery, GPT says it's a human plugin, but I couldn't find it by digging around.

did no one else notice the jump from Volume to area in the bounding box? Does this cause issues as they are two different commands?

This would be good except that it goes so fast I have to watch the same section 10 times to try and capture everything that's said in a 10 second clip.

Is this method suitable for the sphere shape subD? There are always some weird sharp burrs outside the sphere lattices, I just can't figure it out.
@SeinfeldDeng11 күн бұрын
Finally, figure it out, the "Merge" component's output must switch to the "Flatten" mode to exactly merge two bunch of points together, which allows the "Voronoi 3D" to generate the correct cells.

i dont why my weaverbird makes strange shapes, yours are more define in extrusion. anyone knows the sollution for this problem?

Maybe something's missing in your setup. You can check out this tutorial kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aJhmeLaJsJvYeJs.html -it might give you better results compared to this.

3D Beast! I’ve followed your tutorial but came across a “problem”. After making the facade panel subdivisions and using the Weaverbird Mesh From Lines component, I bake the mesh but it bakes as one single monolithic mesh and not as individual panels, like in your video. Any reason why this might be? Thanks for any suggestions!
@3DBeast13 күн бұрын
The mesh you’re getting is also a single mesh for me. To select individual faces, use Ctrl + Shift and click on the desired face. If your goal is to separate each panel into individual pieces, connect the output of the "Weaverbird Mesh From Lines" component to the "Face Boundaries" component, and then to the "Simple Mesh" component. This will give you each panel as a separate mesh. I hope this helps!

How can I apply the pattern to a surface that is not a rectangle. For example I am trying to apply this pattern to a triangular shape but the Triangle Panel B command only generates rectangular panels.
@3DBeastАй бұрын
The simple solution is to try applying it on a rectangular surface first, then cut it out to match your triangle shape. There is a way to apply it directly, but it's hard to explain just in text

Here's an improved version of your draft reply: You can reference the surface you made in Rhino using the surface container in Grasshopper and replace the lofted surface.
