Great job restoring a classic rig. I love all the drive train upgrades for more power. The cab interior turned out great. All and all an awesome build!

I remember when I was a kid in the 1980s, you had to import the Toyota RVs from Japan and Europe. This Overlander looks incredible. If Toyota were to build something similar to this, Toyota would dominate the Overlander market.

How did it get painted? With or without the rv part on? I imagine it would be hard to get paint on the roof.

the price of trailers, motorhomes and campers today are INSANE! I'll sleep in a tent thank you, cook outside.. actually I can fold up the back seats in my super duty, throw a single mattress back there and have everything else in the canopy in back.. PERFECT! like to remove the glass on both and cut the metal out from about 4" from the top to 4" up from the floor both sides then install an inflatable ring between the two sections to make it water tight, truck maker should build this feature into their trucks so canopy or topper makers can do the same, remove the back of the cab, front of the bed, BOOM! you can make a nice motorhome, specially with a hi top canopy and a 6 ft bed, that's about 10ft of space on the 6 ft beds, 12 on the 8ft beds... that's a lot of space, they used to do this n the K5 blazers, then give you the topper as well, or you could purchase a soft top, yup you could get a hi top canopy and walk all the way to the back of a K5 blazer, again, look at this toyota sunrader, they used to do cool stuff in the day so you could go camping in a very inexpensive manner then use it to get to work, not anymore, anymore you need a 2 ton, and oh $150k fora decent trailer or camper, about $145-$200k fora decent outfit yu might use 3-4 times a year if you;re lucky.. fuggen ridiculous that this is what its come to, NEVER give them what they want or need, and what you do give them make sure it puts them in dept for the rest of their slave lives... so tired of this CCP mentality the USA leaders and corporations have adopted.. just sick of it, look what they just try to shove down our throat, useless electrics... just not their yet but they saw the dollar signs and tried to force us into it.. if we do not get rid of everyone of these criminals our way of life as we know it will be gone, like a fart in the wind... at that point everyone will be struggling hard just to survive and afford the most basic of lifestyle.. what you think should we let a couple 50 million more 3rd world immigrunts in so we can all struggle in teh end or have our lineage washed away so they can overpopulate and destroy America? the clock is ticking people, party be damned

My first thought was "I'd slap a new power train if I were going to do all that" First thing you said, nice! Well maybe not first but you didn't just make it look awesome you made it a unique work of automotive art AND it's practical.

I will take this over 45 feet RV. You can go far off road and sleep in magical places while you have to sleep at RV concrete parking lot with that big RV ROFL.

With how light the truck itself is, have you tested it on steep inclines with all that weight added on top/the back? Also would it be possible to just switch out my dash on an '85 for the 01 or would I need to do the full switch like you did?
