Hi Jane. Yes I have. I see promoted listings as ad spend.So I gage the rate based on how available an item is. My take on free shipping is that sellers need to put themselves in the minds of the buyers. The more frictionless a sale is, the greater the chance of achieving that sale. Obviously postage isn't actually free. But I see it as kind of a subliminal tactic. If there's one figure for the buyer, it's more simple a transaction than if there were two. Simply the appearance of the word FREE on the listing, in whatever context, is a minor psychological trigger.

Tell him take as much money and find a one off seller bit the hole car load I've been doing it 25 years works 99 per cent of time i started no car shopping trolley used to buy item sell same day used an old sheet u.do not need a car if car boot close make 100 per cent profit then give the item left free it works trust me take nothing home

I just remain completely emotionless about any transactions. If there’s not enough margin in a deal, I just move on. It’s all about the figures. How you get to the figures is irrelevant.

Personally I think that sellers should actually set prices on their items instead of asking the buyer to make offers.

I'm sure everyone just does what feels right to them. As a buyer, I'm less likely to enquire about items with a price tag on. Well seasoned car boot sellers don't put price tags on their items and there is good reason for this. Asking a buyer to make an offer is pretty much a moot point. As the buyer will likely open with a very low offer, prompting the seller to tell the buyer where their negotiation start price is anyway.

I use the check check app to authenticate expensive trainers before I list on eBay. Costs £1-£2 per pair and well worth it to save your account.

That’s my Local Carboot. It’s always like that very poor and slim pickings. We always travel out of the county to Hexham 1000,s times better. But interesting to see your experience. I was there but a little later around 8:00am shame I missed you.
