Not necessarily, no. You'll still get great views but there will just be added features for those requiring them.

@@HiddenJackpots we've tried just asking for an upgrade and no. Niagara has a lot to learn when it comes to hospitality to be honest; especially when it comes to their pricing. But I still love visiting when I can!

The King room looks the same without a tub. We loved our stay there Christmas night. Hope you got to spend some time in Alle' 66 for some drinks and relaxation. I loved being able to turn the lights off in the room and sit and stare out the floor to ceiling windows at the lights and action below.

Great video! I've always added the tips to my room. Not sure if that's considered rude but I somehow always feel uncomfortable knowing whom and how much to tip. I must have done something wrong b/c I've had a few desk staff act very rude when tipping to my room. I *did* receive an *upgrade* at the Flamingo several years ago. Had initially booked a "Go" room and got upgraded to a higher floor. Yes, a higher floor *is* considered an upgrade. The room was in an aread that was being renowed and had been started on renos but not completed. The shower sounded like I was going to get electrocuted and the floors/furniture had clearly *not* been upgraded (or cleaned, lol). This was also the room where I saw the black mass in front of the window. I would say this *upgrade* was rather unsuccessful.

@@bjones3622 aww yes unfortunately not all upgrades are equal. The Flamingo really needs to be shown some TLC because it has so much potential but just always misses the mark for me. I would hate to see a classic disappear from the strip but it needs some serious work.

How was check in? Could you arrive early?

@@Rob774 I went with Caesars Rewards Air so we all checked in together from the airport and were given our room keys as soon as we got to the hotel. It was a slightly different process than normal. That said, it never hurts to try and arrive early and see if any rooms are available. They may want to charge you an additional fee for early check-in depending on who you get at the front desk. If that's the case, just get them to hold on to your luggage and check-in later if you don't wish to pay.

Yes. Diamond and above they waive it. Before 12 it's like thirty after that it's like 15 but sometimes it really depends on the mood and day of the week. . I checked in at 7am once at Harrah's when I was gold and they never charged me.

@@Spot_Wright last week I did online check in at trop and agreed to pay the early fee but they let me in the room at 11 and never charged me. But typically two pm and after regardless of your status if they have availability they usually don't make you pay

We are going in 5 days, when will they tell us where our seat is on the plane? Also I want to use a credit card different from the one I used to book the trip. @@TWODIRTYSLOTS we didn't find out where we were sitting until we got to the airport. They will do their best to try and fulfill your requests and have you and whoever you're traveling with sit together though. As for the credit card, they will use the one you booked with so I would suggest trying to get in contact with them before your trip to see if you can change it or maybe visit the front desk once you're there. I hope that helps and that you have a good trip!

@@Spot_Wright Yes I went to Biloxi, Mississippi back in December, which was my first Caesars Rewards trip, going to Atlantic City back in February was my second Caesars Rewards trip. I'm looking at maybe booking a third trip sometime. I'm a big fan of your videos, and I also love to travel, I think it would be cool if maybe we met sometime on another trip.

@@Spot_Wright I drove my car across the border and flew out of Detroit to go to Biloxi, I live in London, Ontario so I'm pretty much right in the middle between Toronto and Windsor and Detroit. I go to Caesars in Windsor quite often, I also go to the MGM Grand in Detroit often too. And that's awesome I hope you have a great birthday, I've always wanted to go to Las Vegas, I've never been there but I would love to go to Las Vegas sometime.

Wow, what a trip! I believe I've seen those planes in my city as well. Never looked into them, I am curious now how the same trip would compare with Ceasar's rewards Las Vegas? (Esp considering the dwindling customer service in Vegas, lol!) Worst flight ever? Have landed in storms at Pearson. We had one the first time on an airline that was NOT CP or Ward air, my sister and I as kids flying alone. The whole outside of the plane was orange from lightning flashes and we could hear the thunder. We had a couple of sudden drops of several feet - definitely not fun. This was back in the 80s so they just landed us and all was good. Had another experience as a youth where my plane taxied the back area of Pearson for several hours. They wouldn't stop the plane (Think "Speed"). I'll let you guess what the issue was there - (suffice to say they had all the glass boarded up when we finally got to the terminal) again flying on my own as a child. Precious memories. I think as "seasoned" travelers, we just get used to these things, lol! Glad you got home safely!

@@bjones3622 check out the trips from your neck of the woods! My only option from here is Atlantic City. I do have the option of flying out of the airport in Buffalo and Detroit and that opens up another couple of destinations so maybe I'll look into one of those in the future. The more you travel, the more you get used to the literal ups and downs. Apparently when we were flying to Toronto from the UK as kids, we were hitting a lot of crazy turbulence and my mom was scared. We were so young, luckily we didn't understand what was happening and just kept playing. Ignorance is bliss I suppose!

The pools looks nice but I do like that infinity pool! The future view will probably be another hotel lol but hopefully not. Dayum i need a Dole Whip!! @@rsmolkin I don't believe so, no. BUT there's actually a smoking area in the casino that has a fantastic view of the falls and would be a great place to take pictures. And it's totally free!

Great video! Wondering if the larger bath towel and tub were bonuses for being in a suite and wouldn't have been available in a regular room? Also curious if you noticed any noise from the day/night clubs? You usually mention if you do but just thought I'd ask. I had considered Conrads when I was going for a different show that happened to be during EDC week - just to soak in the atmosphere - but wasn't sure about the noise. It looks like you are staying at an off-season time so its not very busy which would be nice! Also guessing you didn't notice wait times with the elevators? That was one thing in other reviews they have said if it was busy, the elevators weren't as fast as others on the strip and could take a looooong time of waiting and then be very packed. I did hear a rumor that Fontain Bleau had purchased the extra lot near them - possibly for another tower or more shopping. It will be nice to see development down at the North end of the strip. I am definitely curious about Fontain Bleau and Conrads/Crockfords (IF I get there in Dec and If I'm only there for an overnight) but also wanting to head up to Disco Show at the Linq so that might be a little bit of a treck. Curious if you got to see the iLuminate show while at the Strat?

@@bjones3622 good point! I loved those bath sheets. I can't stand when you stay in a nice hotel and they give you these little tiny towels to dry your whole body. I didn't notice ANY noise in this resort except from the room next door during the day. At night, no issues. Oh and the gardeners that one morning. Conrad is great. We were there in April and no complaints at all! And no issues with elevators. Fontainebleau did in fact purchase the lot next door for high roller suites. Think Mansion at MGM Grand and Fairway Villas at Wynn. We are booked for Discoshow and Diner Ross for opening night (as long as we still end up going) so you'll definitely be seeing a review on this channel if everything goes as planned! We didn't spend too much time at Strat that trip but we are planning to go back in August 🤞🏻 Thank you for watching and being such a supporter of this channel 😊

@@Spot_Wright You mean you don't appreciate a towel the size of a face cloth (ok exaggerating), but yes, I also don't like those. I was once told that I could purchase a bath robe if I wanted something more substantial - a bathrobe was, conveniently, not available in the room. Can't even recall where that was now. A Best Western maybe? I would love if there was at least the option to ask room service for a larger towel - Though with the speed of some room service lately, you'd probably be showered and dried off long before it ever got there anyway (IF it got there) LOL 🤣

Not surprised at all about hidden charges. Its owned by the K2 group and the people who run this place are always looking to scam people out of a buck. They also own the Travelodge on Lundy's lane and the Quality Inn. The owner Kasal is a great person! Unfortunately the people he puts in management positions. Not so much!

I used to work for a company that would fly me out there to places like Abbotsford, Coquitlam, Delta, etc. I'll have to head back there soon. It's so expensive to travel within Canada though.

The Mirage was a well rounded hotel and great first timers. The footprint of being a moderately size hotel makes it easy to find everything and walking to the parking was not bad at all. Great memories growing up as a kid in 90s and going to Mirage with family. That registration desk aquarium is definitely iconic and the atrium area with the tropical feel. Always liked that smell at the mirage at that atrium. Volcano leaving is also a bummer. Free attractions aren’t what they used to be in Vegas of our times

You're absolutely right. I've only been going for about 15 years but there's been a massive change in those times. Free attractions disappearing to make way for CVS and Walgreens. I still love Vegas but it's certainly not what it used to be. As for the aquarium, the fish have all moved to Mandalay Bay so at least they can still be seen on the strip!

You should 100% do the one on Victoria Ave! Its my favourite hotel to stay in Niagara! Stayed there probably 15+ times, only ever had two Small issues years apart and were 100% refunded both times. very friendly staff and clean updated room 😊

I remember talking to one of the workers there and they mentioned they had give anti-depression meds to the tigers to keep them calm because the habitats were too small and lacked proper stimuli. It's inhumane that this place ever existed - the dolphin enclosure is criminally small with very little foliage or caves for privacy or to keep them entertained.

@@ricktyman4709 I do agree. I have very mixed feelings about places like this (and zoos). In Canada, we have a place in Niagara Falls called Marine Land that still has dolphins and beluga whales. They used to have killer whales, seals, bears, etc. The small spaces they are kept in are definitely inhumane. I have a huge place in my heart for animals and definitely hate to see them not being treated right.

Sad to see the Mirage go, I never did get to the volcano. Not entirely certain that the Hard Rock will be a thing to me. Maybe of the properties that were up for sale, this one was the least expensive for the Hard Rock? I hope it will do better than the last Hard Rock did. I wasn't aware if the Mirage was losing $, but hopefully they got a good offer? Have also never been to a Hard Rock hotel, did go to the cafe in Toronto (got a sweatshirt for an astonishing price) and did the stadium tour while there, but that was it. I suppose the Kardashians will have to find a new spot. Maybe Fontain Bleu?? Hope you still get to go to Vegas for your birthday.

It seems like MGM is focusing their efforts on the south side of the strip so maybe that was a factor. Mirage was quite popular though so I'm still surprised but that's Vegas for you; always changing! The Hard Rock in Atlantic City is quite nice. It's on the site of the former Taj Mahal. Definitely worth checking out if youre in town. As for the Kardashians, I know they've stayed in places like The Venetian and surprisingly Virgin so I'm sure they'll still find their way back in Vegas somewhere. But thank you, crossing my fingers my August trip will still go as planned. Some things have come up that have kept me quite occupied but still doing my best to keep on top of everything. When it rains it pours!

Hey friend. It's very sad yes. But it's how Las Vegas rolls. That God awful Guitar Tower will be a horrendous eyesore. And I bet you a million dollars that 30 years from now it will be imploded. Las Vegas needs a cheesy themed mega resort built again like the 90's glory days. Oh well, thats life. I did enjoy "LOVE" very much, but "Le Reve" was absolutely heart wrenching to see close. 😓 I had some good times at Mirage. Including a family stay seven years ago. I'll always keep the memories close, and thanks for sharing this informative and well done video. (BTW, I'll be in Vegas for the Tropicana implosion. my first!)

@@Davey7358 I agree, I do love the cheesy themed resorts. But why The Mirage? I feel like there are other locations this could have gone but I suppose it is prime real estate. The implosion will be cool to see. I'm always there just before or just after the implosions. I remember getting there like the day after The Clarion was imploded. Remember when they used to have Fox specials on the hotel implosions? I'm supposed to be heading there next month. Some things have come up that may deter my plans but fingers crossed that isn't the case.

What's the average age of people who stay at the cosmopolitan?

@@andrearin8383 there isn't really one. There's such a mix of people there. I do find it to be a slightly younger and more trendy resort but you really do get all age groups there. There's something for everyone. I've gone there with friends my age and even with my mom and grandma. I think it was likely initially targeting 20-40 year olds with a few extra dollars but it's changed a lot over the years.

We were there in April right when they announced the final show date and I so wanted to try and squeeze in another show but we just didn't have the time. It's definitely a great show and will be missed. I actually can't remember exactly where we sat. I tried to dig up the tickets in my email but I think Cody actually ordered them. 303 does sound about right though. Thank you for the compliments and for watching.
