By far the BEST photo's Film I have seen of Fraser Island / Rainbow Beach . I lived at Rainbow for just over 12 months , but never realized just how beautiful that area is . Seeing a place from the air , makes a massive difference . Would love to be able to do what you do , but this scared duck will stay on the ground . Safe flying Sir and I look forward to other flights you do . New Subscriber ..

KZfaq told me to watch your "sinkhole" video. This is my second video, and I would just like to say that is the coolest overpowered ultralight I've ever seen! While I'm not an engineer, I suspect the bag of chips burst because you have a leak in the cabin that the cabin pressurization system can't keep up with. I could be wrong. ;)

I am just learning, the pilot i am learning with is from a cross country gliding background but we fly from an airstrip on the south coast that is very similar in that we have big ranges to the west, to the east the ocean runs parallel to the main runway, the river is at the southern end and its almost entirely surrounded by bush, as a glider pilot he reinforces 2 main things to me, always plan for an out and have plenty of air speed to counter variables close to the ground, as a student my take is not enough safety speed to counter rotor being produced by the trees and thick scrub on the approach, we encounter these conditions almost every time we fly down here. Most notably when landing north to south with west to north westerly wind, its like the bush slows the wind and it hits the airfield clearing and comes from anywhere often kicking from behind, the other condition we encounter when landing into a headwind is when it almost disappears suddenly when we drop in and airspeed goes down dramatically in an instant. I am taught to pay attention to ground speed as well as airspeed when landing but always it is hammered into me, safety speed when landing. I have watched so many of your videos and learnt plenty from you sharing your experiences thanks for being passionate about the craft and opening your flying life to us, you will be better than ever after this experience, i sincerely hope you never stop flying

I think that's because a loop is a very stressful maneuver for these old aircraft, and they are trying to make them last as long as possible.

I will always remember flying over lake Windimere and the rest of the lakes district in my flexwing at 13,500ft about 30 years ago. I could have gone higher but I'd be getting into Amber One. It was Easter Monday on a lovely sunny clear day that you only get in Spring. I did use some Wave lift to help to get up there, I could see all 4 countries of the UK plus the Isle of Man. Yes it was very cold but Ihad my thermal gear on. I remember looking down on the tiny specs that were boats on the lake and thinking, they are getting away from it all. But I am really getting away from it all.

2 years of erosion at the tip of a beach does not equal sink hole. What kind of weather event have occurred in that time? Click bait thumbnails don’t generate subscriptions.

Where did you get 2 years? This happened in one morning. On the Monday 11am, 3rd June. Underwater landslides occur along this shoreline about every 2-4 years. Please dont accuse people of lying and click bait when they arent. Apparently hundreds of youtubers do it and no one cares. I have stated the facts.

@@CrayonboxAviationAdventures well, I do apologize. When I first watched this there was zero audio. So, I heard no explanation of anything. That being said, the massive crater in the thumbnail image was never shown, and could not exist as portrayed. This did bias my beliefs to begin with, and when I’d no audio(I’ve no idea why, it’s there when I went to view after your response), it seemed to support it.

Flying through turbulence is like driving over speed bumps or railroad tracks. The fast you go the harder it is on aircraft (car) & you. The obvious difference between cars & aircraft is you can see speed bumps & tracks coming. Another obvious affect is bumps you can't see coming will startle the crap out of you. Therefore, slow is smooth, smooth is less fatiguing (and enjoyable). What's better: being startled & scared shitless or occasional tickles in the tummy?
