I have a 90 l dry bag backpack. That weighs nearly the same amount. How does that compromise in being a lighter pack? It would have to be at least around 2 3/4 lb otherwise it's just too heavy THEY FAILED

Canteen Cup Tuesday: Cajun Boil w/ Swedish Mess Kit You didn't list or mention your spices 'Old Bay Seasoning' what was the liquid you put in? A meal without a list contents is useless.

Ordered the kitbag direct from Helikon and the canteen set from SRO nary an hour ago. Going to mount on the Helikon Foxtrot MKII opposite a Helikon E&E pouch. So many options for carrying everything I could need for a day in the woods with my son in a small-ish and comfortable unit. Helikon and SRO(Pathfinder) are just the best. Ever onward, fellow woodrats!

I have this exact pouch and the Pathfinder canteen cook set. It’s too tight for the stove and cup. You have to struggle to get the canteen cup and stove out of it. I ended up using it for my smaller canteen kit and keeping the pathfinder set in the pouch it came in.

Ottoza makes an awesome scout carry leather sheath. It's actually designed for mini trackers. But it makes this knife a 10/10 for survival and bushcraft.

On camp I would use some sand then add water and if I had a cloth use that to clean inside and out. Failing that a handful of tough grass / leaves / bracken etc. The sand acts as an abrasive and leaves you with a shining spotless pan . Simple

Our hands were not created or designed by anyone. our hands evolved over millions of years thru something called evolution. You can see the similarities between human hands and ape/primate hands.

When you are doing a comparison video use 2 different sticks for feather comparison that way you can see which lays out finer curls.

Stainless steel is more secure to cooking. Aluminum can make health issues.

I agree with you my friend. I recently replaced an aluminum Swedish mess kit with stainless steel. Some people tell me that it’s not a concern but I rather be safe then sorry.

Great looking meal Dave! I see you scored another Canteen, I sold one in that color combo not too long ago. I was fortunate to just pick up another one in Magna-cut last week. Love the Canteen, I also have a rare 3V in Black micarta and orange liners. I think only about five of those were made. Keep the videos coming brother!

I've had a BK14 rattling around in a drawer for years and years now and was recently looking for an EDC fixed blade without even thinking about the Eskabar. Unfortunately, the handle scales you showed are no longer available, so I took a pair of Izula scales and just barely had to trim them to get the fit right. I enjoyed your comparison video and went ahead and subscribed. Thanks for the content.
