nah only yesterday had a downpour for a few hours… weather usually says rain everyday, but it only last 30 mins or so then you see sun occasionally also

the best in Beijing surrounding area is Wanlong that's no doubt. The best in northeast shouldbe Beidahu, and Songhua lake, both much better than Yabuli or Changbaishan (Changbaishan do have better hotel choices though). And the best in northwest (Xinjiang) area should be the ones aroung Altay, all better than silk road.

What's the betting there are two lines: one for Thai people with prices written in Thai script and the other line for tourists, written in English but charging 5 times as much. Even if you can read Thai and try to join Thai queue, they move you back to tourist line. Same for Thai boxing, Elephant / Crocodile farm and anywhere else they can rip you off.
