My late mom used to cook this super delicious Achar Fish but she shredded all the ingredients. But didn't rub the fish with turmeric powder but just salt only. We use purely vinegar, no Assam juice. Super delicious if we eat it 1 or 2 days later. This dish was in our family more than 60 years.

Hi, in your reply u said adding wheat starch is to make the mochi skin look translucent. Do you mean to say If I don't add wheat starch, it won't affect the mochi skin texture? No wonder some recipes just use glutinous flour and water. Pls confirm if my observations are correct?
