I know im commenting on an old video, im new here and this video popped up on my feed. I want to become a Kindergarten teacher when im done with college. Which is around the corner! I have 2 years left and I start my residency next fall. Any tips for student teachers? Im a shy and nervous girly so when im in an environment im not used to, i kind of just stand around and watch. I try not to do this but I think my anxiety of doing something wrong skyrockets! As well as the person who is supervising me! Any tip would help! Thank you so much <3

What degree do you need for kindergarten teaching? I have an A.A. in child development and a B.A. in psychology.

Lovely video! Are you given a budget to do up your classroom, and do you mind me asking how much is it? In the UK schools have budget restraints.

At the very beginning of the year, before school starts we are not given any money for our personal classrooms. It is common for teachers to have an amazon wishlist that they share with family and friends. I was really lucky and my principal was able to purchase some things for me for my classroom :) And eventually we will get some money from PTA!

This might sound stupid lol but can you show how you print the canva stuff? Is it on a bigger size or regular paper size?

Use those new headphones as a back up set. When it comes to headphones, durability is important because some kids do not handle them properly and will pull them by the cords. Have an industrial strength pencil sharpener as another back up resource. Best of luck to you for the new school year.

So different! So far I think the curriculum is so much more overwhelming as the teacher in 4th grade and it is requiring a lot more planning. But behaviors have been a bit easier to manage so far.

I did 5th and 6th ELA and S.S my first year. It was the best year ever. I am on year 4 and have been in 5th each year since then. What a jump kinder to 4th... the kiddos are so different in terms of attitude but you will love it. They are little characters and are all about the tea 😂

I begin my 32nd year of teaching in August and have taught fourth grade since 2017. Make sure that you have plenty of consistency when going over your classroom expectations. Set your routines and procedures in place, and adjust as needed when things are not working well. I hope that you will receive plenty of support from your administrators and other fourth grade colleagues. Some students might try to test you over the academic year because some fourth graders think that they are getting too big for their britches. Take care, and thank you for your video presentation.

I can’t believe you will almost be back to your classroom in two weeks. I hope you had time to recoop. Thank you so much for sharing all of your wonderful videos. My child is in a bilingual school and I have loved all of his teachers so far. He is starting second grade in Sept. So we will see how this year goes but I truely hope you enjoy it and feel more support from admin and have assistants in your classrooms. Sending you good vibes.

Make sure that you have an industrial strength pencil sharpener because the students will go through your new one in no time. X-ACTO pencil sharpeners are durable and last for years. I have been teaching fourth grade for seven years, and the students have much more independence, but still require guidance and support. They will be expected to write several paragraphs and have good math sense. They will have to make sure that they know their multiplication tables and solve more word problems. Best of luck to you. Thank you for your video presentation. Take care.

It is true that administrators can determine how well you will do based on the amount of support that they provide. I hope that the time back in Florida will help you to find the school that will be the best fit for you. Focus on the good points that you learned from your experiences at other schools and continue to grow. Thank you for your video presentation. Take care.
