I personally despise Air RB and AB because its like Call Of War Thunder to me meaning it is pointless game play. You fly into a furball with no point and no purpose only to chase a people around in circles for a few minutes, then die or not only to rinse and repeat. If I fly anything outside of Naval or Ground it is in Sim EC only and especially for Bombers and CAS planes. "Zombers" LOL, I heard that same nickname from Training days, but id like to remind everyone that Simulator EC is and was always designed as PVE with PVP being secondary and that is why the rewards for PVP only people suffer so bad. RB is where folks get to ignore the missions and chase people around in circles. In Simulator you need to attack ground targets, ships, convoys, PVE airplanes, Airfields, Bases, etc. to gain enough points to win the match. Though some fighters can do some of this you need bombers for the rest of it and the only time you win in Sim from pure PVP is when the other team just quits playing because they're tired of being attacked non stop However I digress and go back to your original point! You are right as Gaijin seems to be on a mission to turn this game into nothing but Ace Combat and that is proven even more so with this new missile update rendering every airplane that isn't a 'Fighter" absolutely useless in every mode. A6, A7, A10 are first to come to mind, but there are many others in different countries that are all useless now due to the BRs they are in and the planes they're up against. It would be better if they just removed them from the tree totally and refunded the player base like myself who once enjoyed playing them and include the prop bombers in that refund.. I worked my as# off some time ago to get the B-17 only to be disappointed, then finally the B-29 yet again to be disappointed (which if I may add are the only reason I started playing this game), because they're completely under powered, outgunned, the AI Gunners are freaking useless and the planes themselves have a abysmal damage model. What's worse is they wasn't like that when Air RBEC was a thing, but they was toned down to appease the dogfighters just like RB EC was removed to appease the Call of duty mindset dogfighters who cant stand a match more than 5 minutes long... Anyway I'm stopping now, but these are a few reasons I find myself playing less WT and more IL-2 any more.

I’d get the plane is it wasn’t $30. I took a few years break from warthunder, coming back to it all I can think is how these prices for premiums are a bit high for what you get now that the ranks just keep going up. Sure $30 seemed worth it for a mid rank, but now it’s lower and lower as new things at ever increasing rank and battle ratings get added. I’d get it at $20 or less at this point.

I just started playin war Thunder and have been playing Air Arcade. I don’t why everyone is so gung ho about realistic. The more I hear people talk about it and complain about it, the less I care if I ever play Air RB. Arcade is fun, if someone shoots me down in my bomber, I just go get another plane. So what if it takes forever to grind into jets, I’m not trying to get top tier planes before I even know what all my keybindings do. Why do people think they have to have the top stuff in a week…so much impatience.

6:26 Yes, I will admit. I’m this person because this game is so frustrating when I play as a fighter in air RB because I spend 5 minutes climbing and then get shot down by some wyvern of yak (Skill issue) I hate it because I don’t get any SL or RP. So I chose to be the mindless fool using a bomber to get free points. In my opinion, it’s fun, a little bit because I get to shoot down anyone trying to intercept me. The real reason I use bombers is because I want those DANG JETS.
