Well I like it and I damn like Kyle Katarn as a character but boy the first levels are damn complicated and tough including nar shaadar. To me I love more the linear approach of Jedi Academy, even if it storywise weaker but you got different lightsabers and different fighting styles, so to me it was perfect😃

Quite a large majority of aspects of this trilogy is pure magnificence. However, this is not Tomb Raider. This is an Uncharted clone with a female antagonist (Uncharted is already one of the most uninspired and ennnuing games for me) it seems like they wanted to create Uncharted while slapping that Tomb Raider branding on the front. It has lost any and all traces of peculiarity, which is a shame, considering that the original Tomb Raider was critically acclaimed for it being unlike anything else on the market. They also seem to be unable to introduce a compelling antagonist. Himiko was 👌🏻, she is even featured on my account's cover. Everyone else? Bland. I also lament that supernatural elements are merely present at the climax, and even then it isn't the most original one can get. Tomb Raider 2013 is exquisite, with unoriginal but still entertaining gameplay, an excellent antagonist, memorable sequences, decent graphics and I personally loved Lara in this one. Rise Of The Tomb Raider enchances certain aspects, the graphics are the best ones by far, the wintery and snowy aesthetic with constant bell chiming is the cherry on top, the pacing is also marvelous, but i feel like the story is weaker, and the gameplay was not as fun. Shadow Of The Tomb Raider is an underwhelming, boring and messy game that is my least favorite Tomb Raider game. Overall, majestic games, just not Tomb Raider ones.

I was holding off on shadow; I'll have to rethink it once I upgrade my PC. I can't stand how combat in one and two just drag on. Maybe if I had played the originals I would of gone in expecting to play a gun toting nutcase who fancies herself an explorer.

Great video mate. By far my favorite star wars game, with a long list of star wars games from the late 90's early 2000's. I guess now adays, games heavily emphasize online gaming, not the story telling part of the game.

Rise and shadow were both amazing. I didn’t espect much from these games, I figure they were Walmart quality but damn once I got onto it I couldn’t believe how great the games are. Very underrated bc i think people don’t give a chance . Besides ghost of tsushima and Jedi survivor , rise is my third favorite game. Shadow may be 4th. Well damn I forgot about metal gear 2🤣🤣🤣

I havent played tomb raider since ps1

I know I'm 4 years late to the party but I have something to say. Some people say that classic Paper Mario fans are toxic, and admittedly some of them can be (not all of them). But what happened with your video is just proof that some modern Paper Mario fans can be just as toxic. I mean, for the love of God, all this guy did was post a video about Paper Mario TOK, give his thoughts and opinions about it and did so in a respectful way, without talking down on the people who liked the modern Paper Mario games. And what do people do? They bombard the video with dislikes. They insult the creator, saying that he just wants a "carbon copy of TTYD" and that he should be blamed for the apparent "death" of Paper Mario. They put words in his mouth that he literally never said. And we're the toxic ones for being skeptical about TOK?

I like the last 2 games better. They perfected what the first game started with. But I remember playing the first one and was immediately hooked. Good series. Wish they would hurry up and give us a fourth already

Tomb Raider games will always have a special place in my heart, since I played the very first one when I was a kid

Tomb Raider 2013 is by far the best of the three and i will die on that hill. Rise was really good but Shadow was pretty crap i thought.

2004 was my favorite year for FPS. Halo 2 and Counterstrike Source every day before and after school.

I have recently started playing the tomb raider series and I cannot lie I was very impressed and heavily disappointed in the series. After finishing Tomb Raider the first of the series I found myself loving the gameplay of the game and the puzzles but I still had issues since I always saw my self comparing the series to Uncharted. Tomb Raider’s biggest weakness for me was the very week and horrible voice acting and acting, I really hated every cutscene and felt so annoyed however the gameplay is what made me finish the game I ended up rating the game a solid 6.5/10 with the gameplay carrying the game. Rise of the Tomb Raider. Rise of the Tomb Raider was my favorite out of the three trilogies the combat in this game was heavily improved the and acting was improved as well. I found myself enjoying the game from start to finish and got the platinum trophy for this game and ended rating the game a solid 9.0/10 a very good game overall. Now for the worst game out of the three Shadow of the Tomb Raider, this game was very good at the start I was impressed with the graphics and smoothness of the game but that didn’t last for long I was very annoyed on how they missed up the combat they changed the speed when aiming and made it very slow which made the combat horrible and unsatisfying. They also changed the crosshairs on the guns which and made it much worse then the first two games. however, the saving grace for this game was the stealth. The stealth took a very big jump and made the game fun when it was stealth missions. I really hated this game and was very disappointed, I rated the game a 5.0/10 can be improved. Before I played the series I heard people compare this trilogy with the Uncharted trilogy And I can easily say that there is no way that Tomb Raider is better then the Uncharted trilogy and I can comfortably say that Uncharted 1 is easily better then all of the three Tomb Raider games.

Just finished replying 1 and 2, and played shadow for the first time. The first is my favourite but I really enjoyed shadow, more than I expected. It’s the perfect game for someone to watch you play and not get bored

Love this game, and great video by the way. I personally disagree with your take on the shooting mechanics. They aren't nearly as bad as you make them out to be. I think mostly people just misunderstand and misuse the weapons. People try and use the E-11 like a modern hitscan when instead it is a spray and prey sort of gun. Because of this I pretty much exclusively use the Bryar blaster pistol because it is extremely accurate and its alternate fire can one shot most enemies with headshots. If you still enjoy this game try using the Bryar pistol exclusively for a playthrough and I think you will find the shooting mechanics much more enjoyable.

I also really like this game, but i think that the level designs can be too unfair, like in Yavin Swamp, where there is a passage under a rock wall that is almost completely hidden, unless you stand at the right spot with the right angle, I remember being stuck there for an hour, because it looked like a dead end. Or in Yavin Final where there is a wall you have to go through to get to the final boss and the only visual indicator is that the wall texture is floating a little and it is the only time the game does this, lets be honest here, that is a BS move from the designers.

Technology-wise fantastic games, great gameplay - but ultimately pointless story (the whole Trinity-plot leads nowhere in the end), and Lara - oh my god, Lara is so bad. This is not the cool badass Lara of old. She's a whiny, hysterical bitch with daddy issues. Tomb Raiding? Maybe 10 %. The rest is Uncharted-style shootouts and guided climing. I played all three but felt disappointed and let down in the end. Can't say there is a single character in these games I want to see again (or that I even remember at this point).

Playing Rise currently and it is such a great game it is the first Tomb Raider game I have played after your review looking forward to playing Shadow.

I kinda wish the titles were switched up - The first one should've been "Rise of the Tomb Raider" because it's an origin story and it's where Lara first learns/applies all she knows - The second one should've been "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" cause it's about her father's legacy and Lara living in the shadow of what he left behind - The third is the one that should've just been called "Tomb Raider" because it's about Lara coming to terms with what kind of archaeologist she is, plus it's the game that focuses the most on the puzzle tombs or "Tomb Raiding"

My only gripe with the games is how many times each game lara gets hurt or the worst possible thing happens. Every high ledge she slips on or falls down. She gets severely injured at least 5 times a game. Other than that I enjoy the puzzles, and gameplay is ok

I think Rise is the best overall. Shadow is the prettiest. And 2013 has some really good set pieces and is also the most M rated, they go HAM on the gore.

My only thing with this game is that i really feel like the combat lost its impact throughout the trilogy. The gunplay always felt junky but man by the third game it juat looked so wack the enemies woukd literally just drop dead ragdoll no animations like in the first ome idk what happened man

I'm currently one trophy away from achieving the platinum on Tomb Raider Definitive Edition. I thoroughly enjoyed the reboot trilogy. Did anyone else think the attempted sexual assault was unnecessary?

Not only a full rejection of Disney Star Wars, but appreciation of the EU despite a few flaws here and there! I’m just waiting for Disney to stamp Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy on their new projects to cash in on the greatest drug there is, nostalgia!

The early parts aren't hard at all, you're just using the rapid fire mode for the E-11 and shooting for body shots and while trying to strafe side to side. Literally the worst combination of things you could do for ranged combat in these games. Use the single shot mode, headshots, and shoot when you stop between moving. You'll clear out the stormtroopers like nothing.

I used this video to explain in a Steam forum why this game trilogy is a masterpiece in gaming. Thank you for fantastic compilation and excellent review.

I really like this trilogy. The lack the polish that uncharted games have but still hold their own.

While I do like allot about the reboot trilogy as it's own thing, it lost allot of the charm and unique design that made the classic tomb raiders so intriguing. There was a better sense that you were raiding some tomb because the art direction was more subtle and the levels were meant to be explored for clues to progress which I feel is streamlined to a point in this that it's just not even the same. Also the cover shooting is stupid, fun as it is I really think Tomb Raider needs to be a run and gun platformer to really be the same series. Hopefully Crystal Dynamics is able to blend the 2 styles in their next tomb raider game

9:27 yeah no. The story is actually nonsensical, predictable, & mundane. Along with some very generic villains and eye-roll inducing plotholes and reveals [the whole stigmata thing being caused by the sister, really?]

First reboot game is actually probably the worse they decided to tie trophy’s to the first game which made no sense seeing as tomb raider has always been a single player series

The third game was such a disappointment. I was generally happy or indifferent towards everything in the game except the crafting economy and the writing for lara and the overall plot.
