Why do I need to put an oxygen absorber inside when I am using the machine to pull out the air?

Normally the oxygen absorbers are not necessary. I am trying to get maximum shelf life out of them so i added the oxygen absorbers and to some i also added moisture absorbers as well. This year i only vacuum sealed them and plan on opening one with absorbers and one without absorbers in 2 years and comparing the quality.

It's those fag shoes that made that job so easy... LOL I have a massey 165 that may or may not have a PTO issue. The family farm passed to me in Nov 2022 and what if anything was going on with that tractor, except no reason to fire it up, I don't know. Dad had a larger Massey that hadn't moved in 10-15 years too, so maybe all is fine. I didn't think to ask him before he died so it will be discovery time when I get back to the farm. I hope everything is fine and I have a strong 165 to brush hog the place and clean it up some this summer. I watched a video of a guy doing similar stuff with a 165 model and it looked like a shop deal to me if it's more than that seal and bearing, splitting the tractor etc. I hope mine is easy like yours is to address if need be. Mine has a cap over the PTO shaft so I am a little worried it might be the more complex job. We'll see.

Yep, I've done that too. Seal had almost stopped leaking so I figured the fluid level was at the bottom of seal.

Farmers I love it, backyard garden is what I do now, just like stocks investing, 7 years ago I decided to retire I started abocados I have about 20 trees now give me fruit this year, I grow lemons, lime, all began to harvest bunch of tomatoes, green beans, okra, bell peppers. I remember a old man told me in 2008 start buying stocks so little by little I position my self and it work I began growing my financial stability, now my yards of plants and soil it’s getting fertile I plant every vegetable I desire and it grows, I enjoy farming let’s do it.
