A quick note of thanks and appreciation. Slowing the vid down to .75 helped me get all the nice bits note for note! Loved that you captured all the great voicings of the original.

Great video! I've been struggling with this song, especially the piano solo section, but your video has shown me some great alternatives to playing it. Thanks for posting it!

Thank-you for this. The visuals on the notes being played is unique and very helpful. I'm trying to take the chords from the piano over to the guitar. The notes and the chord sheet are very helpful.

Thanks a lot, that helped me a lot! I've been trying to figure that intro out for years and you did a great job working on the details of the first bars! After listening your playing about 10 times, I think there is another d on top of that bar 2 beat 2 voicing. And in the third measure, the left hand ghosts a g instead of a d. Keep it up and all the best!

Nice to hear the history of Steve Winwood, and great job providing not only the chord sheet but labeling the keys in the video. Agree with others - a great tutorial.

Thanks for sharing. Although not an expert, and a guitarist, I consider this to be one of the most complex Reggae progressions. On a side note, given that it was written by Dennis and it’s from a girls perspective, that makes it even more remarkable.

Useful if you happen to be depping for a band that have a string section ! Otherwise the keys need to do the string line as well

Thanks man, this was super interesting and helpful. Do you think they actually used the same synth to play all those parts in the original (intro bass, chords, high octave stabs, etc)?

At last ! I've just watched about 3 other keyboard tutorials on this track and none of those sounded quite right. A few of the notes were in the wrong place. I've seen the Stranglers live 5 times - Always brilliant.

Excellent, works for me. ❤. I slowed the video down to quarter speed which helped my slow brain. (Hint… The last six notes are a semitone down from Db to Ab. )
