When you dont prune your fig tree why do old branches they start to turn white?
@eretabegardens23 сағат бұрын
It's a good thing to prune your fig trees.

Ya my in ground fig tree i have 2...The problem was it was small, little growth... basically no fruit. You have to water it constantly to get it going. As soon as ive been watering it it took off and fruit immediately showed. So in MAY, You should be watering your trees if theres not much rain. My 1st tree didnt have this problem tho, both trees are on opposite sides. Idk why its weird

I water my trees every other day in summer.
@spiritualsoul2711Күн бұрын
Yeah giving your fig tree nitrogen at the right time will help it grow leaves quicker to the fruiting phase. When it's at the fruiting phase I don't think nitrogen is important or should be used. Prioritize fruit growth not leaves. Use the other aka Phosphorus and potassium. Moreso Phosphorus because it specifically has to do with Fruiting phase. I got some good Phosphorus fertilizer coming in , I recommend the Fox Farm *Bat Guano...

Theres something u doing for the trees to now grow. Single year cutting here from december and my trees have already filled their 5 gal pots. Some new trees i bought who were in 2 gals fully rooted are in the process of filling up completely their 5 gal pot. I use mychorhizzae also. I had lots of it for free because they were expired Apparently. Bru some trees i forgot to put and it didnt do anything. My soil was at the beginning recycled potting soil with some lime, vermiculite and more perlite added and also DE for silica. Now im just using lime, DE and professional potting mix.

@eretabegardens12 күн бұрын
Do you know the name of the fig tree? Some figs ripe early, some mid season and some late but I don't think yours is late. Your figs will start to swell and change color when they are ripening. After that let it soft so that the sugar content will be sweet.
