Paul Brinegar is the best Jim (James Kelley). He has such personality. The actor who portrays Jim Kelley in the later episodes is such a dud, no personality at all.

One episode of this series has Scott Forbes who played Jim Bowie in the tv series Jim Bowie. Another episode has R.G . Armstrong who played in a lot of westerns and movies such as El Dorado with John Wayne and Robert Mitchum James Caan Johnny Crawford of the Rifleman . Then there was two episodes of this western that had The Apache Indian Marshal Sam Buckheart who also played in the Rifleman it also had Wayne Rogers of MASH
