I think its very unreasonable to say the external oblique and the conjoint tendon stretch and come through with the intestine. The tendon is attached to the pubic bone and a tendon is a tough material. External oblique is also a strong material.

I doubt the conjoint tendon is stretched through the superficial ring. What are good exercises for strengthening the conjoint tendon?

How is the peritoneum continous if it's attached at the front and at the back by a mesogastrium? The illustration shows it as 2 seperate pieces of peritoneum
