I just came in and found your video , that carb comes off easy unplugging two connectors, then removing the top is easier . the way I did it was pulled those white spring holder things the black covers can be assembled on the motors then clock the choke and throttle plates during assembly , pesky little springs arent they . great work .

Mine is having hot start issues, and goes into an overload mode at 50%. This might be the source of my problem and will be my starting point. I’d also throw a clean fuel filter at it if the problem shows up after some hours, you know while you’ve got everything apart, and you’re touching it. Since the Cummins shop wants to charge a $650 3 hour diagnostic fee, we’re on our own out here in KZfaq University Land.

So glad I saw this video. I run 3 of these units. On the other hand im glad you guys had a good experience with customer service. I didnt unfortunately. The woman i spoke with sad if its below xx degrees you will have to manually choke it.! Im like miss.... its an electronic choke!!!!!! She insisted on me having to manually choke it. I had to get the part number and order mine.

Wasn't sure where the spring actually went, also was your choke working at all. My choke will go to full choke when starting but doesn't return to open when it started. Stepper motor or possibly control board? Thanks

Called Westinghouse and talk to a lady about my problem with the choke not working properly. She is sending me a new stepper motor and the control box that it connects to. She said they are in Ohio and was very good to talk to someone I could understand. Great service and didn't take long to connect to the tech!

Westinghouse sent me the wrong stepper motor three times. My stepper motor has a 5 pin plug and Westinghouse sends a stepper motor with a 6 pin plug. Sent them photos twice along with the correct part number, but they keep sending the wrong part with the wrong part number. I finally got my soldering iron and heat shrink tubing out and change the plug on the 6 pin to 5 pin. Not real happy with this $1100.00 inverter.

Great video, i took off my carburetor to give it a good cleaning and in the process the wiring going to the throttle stepper motor broke. Where can i find that stepper motor?

They go on the nipple on the end of that small white bracket that the stepper motor sits over. I tried to send a picture but couldn’t. Pause video when I get ready to put stepper motors back on and zoom in on the white brackets. Still new at videos. Hope it helps

Took delivery of my iGen 4000DF on Tuesday. The unit came with the factory fix for the auto choke. I installed a Drainzit (Hon1010) for easier oil changes. Took my time and after a couple hrs. it fired up, first time. Bought this as an emergency power source in storms.

There was no part number on the bag Westinghouse sent me, but when I told them the problem they knew exactly what I needed and sent me the stepper motor. I did copy the information on top of the stepper motor which is below. Hope it helps. 24BYJ48 12 V DV 249950 YS:220125

Hey bud. How would I get a hold of a charging cord that plugs into the front. I’m wondering if that cord is a charger or a maintainer. There’s not much in regards to whether or not it’s a maintainer for off season.

So did you have anything hooked to the 3 point hitch? Snow blade or whatever, that would cause more pressure.
