I live here all my life. Yes drivers here drive like they're on the Autobahn. Yeah I used to work at AEP downtown they have 31 floors. I remember when I started there 5 and a half years ago all the floors were being occupied and used. Since Covid that has completely changed and it's damned out right depressing.

I had to move from Cincinnati to Columbus three years ago for my fiancee. Let me tell you, Cincinnati smokes Columbus. Better architecture, better geography, better cultural resources, better sports options, more distinct neighborhoods, better community spaces, more community events. Heck, even the weather is better, if only slightly. And don't get me started on how reckless the drivers are. Cincinnati feels like an actual city, whereas Columbus is a collection of suburbs. Everyone I've met in Columbus tells me how cool Cincinnati is and how much they prefer Cincinnati's downtown. If you didn't know about the streetcar, which has been around for years, then you aren't qualified to make this video. You need to hop on i-71 and hit up Rhinegeist and Findlay Market. And no, Cincinnati's restaurant scene is better than Columbus. Many of the Short North restaurants are just satellite locations for places that originated in Cincinnati.

I loved living in Bridge Park, but the area is in dire need of a bodega or small grocery store that's in walking distance. I would have loved to be able to walk (without crossed a major road) to grab a cold drink, sandwich, or anything else a convenience store would carry.

Dublin. New Albany is certainly nice but in my mind it is too far removed out there on the eastern edge of the city . . . barely even a part of Columbus to me. When I think of the east side of Columbus I associate it with the airport and all that comes with that.

Columbus is kinda boring, pretty expensive, and not really all that safe. Hello grey skies. We used to be able to say: "well, at least it's cheap/" And the people here aren't a bit friendlier than anywhere else.

Moved here 2 years ago from Eastern Ohio. You are right.. drivers here are the worst! It’s actually shocking to me! Also, I wish there were more direct flights. Crime in certain areas are also awful. However, I think there is lots to do here, especially if you are a Buckeye fan. Many good events happen here, love the theater’s downtown. Zoo, festivals, farmers market, library events etc. Food here though, isn’t the best! Ohio Valley and Pittsburgh restaurants beat Columbus in ever aspect. The parks are very nice. Love Taylor Farm Park the best.

From California and finally got to visit this city last week. I was blown away at how nice everything is turning out. So much youth and vibrancy in this city. The only thing missing is mass rapid transit. But otherwise, I need to make the move ASAP. California is in steep decline compared to what I'm seeing in Columbus.

Talking about shitty weather: As far as I can recall, it rained almost daily from November 2023 all the way through to June 2024. Your weather choices are: Snow/Sleet/Hail/Ice/Thunderstorms/Cold Rain/Warm Rain/Heavy Rain/Drizzle mixed in with the occasional tornado 🌪️. Now it's blasting hot with stinking high humidity. Add to that all the pot holes and crazy salting, and there you go! If you want a day of sun without the ever so grey sky, you've got to chant and sacrifice a lamb 🐑

I’m 20, and when I graduate College, I want to move to a rural area but still be close to a major city metro. I don’t hate city life, but I like a quieter, slower-paced life. I like the area just SE of Lancaster, Ohio, and the Mt Vernon area. Small towns within an hour of a major city and metro area are a hidden gem in Ohio.

I've been in Columbus since childhood. The drivers are stupid... The person in front of you won't go and the person behind you is in your back seat and you have no where to go. That's all of central Ohio.

Been traveling for nature , a potential forever home and see my people. I do app delivery to keep my coffers even. You learn a lot about a city or town by going out at dusk and driving around. Columbus failed in all four corners. Things get rowdy and folks drive aggressively on really bad roads. The vibe I caught was folks are pissed more than half the year and by the time they are easing towards some sort of happiness the weather poops on em’ again and they go right back to getting pissed. It’s just kinda dirty for being so spread out. I expect a certain layer of grime in a tight city like NY or Philadelphia , not in the heartland though. I watched your video and others because I was surprised with what I saw tonight and wanted to gain understanding. Very pc way to tell the truth. The surrounding 30+ miles outside town then add a couple more dozen miles away from the highway ya might be doing alright.

I'm in Chandler, AZ next to the Intel. It's a little crazy cause of the construction but the houses are beautiful surrounding the facility, low crime rate, people are all friendly as well. I think they will bring that vibe to Ohio as well. Plus Arizona has a ton of Midwesterners out here. Hopefully they build more houses out there, starting now. :) Thanks for the video.
