I hope they fix the issue. I had a friend break his in Moab in the Hot Tub. But to be fair I replace tie rod and drag link on my Jeeps as soon as I bend them.

Thank you. It is amazing how the suspension just soaked up the bumpy road. Other campers might make it back here but I don’t know what condition they are in after the drive. The views never stopped coming!

It is his world we are here to serve him so he sleeps wherever he wants. LOL. He likes to curl up under the cabinets at our feet. But he sat up looking at the stars for a long time out the sky light.

The Escapod Topo 2 is the Swiss Army Knife of teardrop trailers. Very impressive and a wise choice. On the flip side, I love the artisanal quality of the High Camp Trailer. There's no plastic anywhere. It's the Rolls Royce of teardrops and though it doesn't have as many features as the Topo 2, it's so beautiful. I wouldn't be able to decide between these two teardrops. Let us know what you decide. If you're on the fence about the Topo 2, why would you decide against it?

I ended up buying the Escapod. After visiting their factory and Beans it was an easy decision. It is a true four season camper. Living in Wyoming it is required. As far as your comment about the other manufacturer not using any plastic, I am glad Escapod uses no wood. No rotting, and a 100% sealed one piece shell that is structural. I love the Escapod, we have camped in 1° F temps with no problems.

When going up a hill and you start spinning your tires because of a rut or deep snow the lockers will make a vehicle slide sideways because there is very little friction from the tires keeping it from going sideways when on a sideways slant. When you had the ass end in the rut and you kept spinning the tires the ass end fell down hill. When you backed up and got the front in the rut it started falling down hill sideways. Had you backed up far enough and made sure you had enough momentum to roll over the rut without loosing traction it would have been fine. What made it worse is that you stopped at a place you shouldn't have stopped with lockers engaged. The loss of traction with lockers on causes sideways slippage big time. @@JeepJKFatGirl

Extremely capable vehicle. It just has a weak spot in the tie rod. Ford's severe steering rack helps address it. I kind of wish I waited another year when the upgraded rack became standard on wildtracks.

They are awesome vehicles but Jeep owners will always talk smack. But ask every Jeep owner that wheels their rig if their steering is stock. I know mine is not I bent the stock tie rod and drag link.

The spotter was in the lime green shirt. I tried this same spot in my two door and it did not feel good so I took the bypass. Even if I have a spotter telling me that I am good, it is my rig and I will decide. On this day I did not see a two door make it up this spot.

Me too!!! His arm was only about 6” away. When I first seen blood I was worried. I think his sleeve protected him a lot. That pistol is a beast I love to shoot it. 10” plates at 300 yards are easy.

@@JeepJKFatGirl we've got Luno Life shoe bags that have magnets in them and stick to our side steps/rails. Nowhere to put our jackets except inside the teardrop on top of the cabinets. Not ideal, but we don't 4 season camp. Yet. 🙂
