I remember the far reaches of London Transport and Green Line services. The break up of LT has left us with a mess that now is being swollowed up by Stagecoach under so many different names. Here in Surrey our great LT buses gone and we now have a useless service of no point under Stagecoach.

19:46 Ahh the bendy buses on the 1 Holt Park - Beeston route. Used to love these as they used to take me up to school and back everyday. On late evenings the 1 used to extend to cottingley

Shame no former Gillingham bus station that was filmed. I can find little to no video on it since it got overshadowed by Chatham when it opened in 1970 with the pentagon until Gillingham bus station closed probably by the time arriva took over as you prob would know the area is just part of the depot and typically has Enviro 400/MMCs parked where the stands used to be.

Cor, dear me, almost all of the buses coming out of Shanklin 'bus station' here, don't go to those destinations anymore, all go to bloody Newport, where you then have to change to another route, if you are lucky. Happy days.

Great video! I rode the Nottingham to Peterborough bus for a laugh a number of years ago and I've been interested in the area ever since, but there are very few videos done round there, so thank you for this one 👍

Great videos, but I have to say Oxfordshire isn't "South Midlands", it's part of the South East, or more geographically just South of England. Only maybe Banbury could possibly be included in the Midlands, although officially it's not. Oxford though is on the same longitude as St Albans and Chelmsford, and Abingdon is about level with Watford, so definitely not Midlands in any way. Great videos though.

What an excellent compilation video! Awful period in London bus history. London Transport in the process of being broken up and chunks sold to private operators. London's famous red buses being replaced by tired old buses in a rag-bag mix of colours. Old London Transport cast-offs, got rid of because these buses not up to London service, bought back in awful liveries which matched the awful ride. Bread van minibuses, which were awful in all aspects, were appearing as well. Thankfully London's buses were never deregulated, and so TfL is in control and we have decent modern buses, all back in London red and with the famous white roundel back on the bus sides.
Oh that horrible First Livery! Give us back Central Scottish in Lanarkshire!
