At minute 9.54 you were talking about the attic fan: in regards to those, they are MAINLY to bring cooler air from outside to the inside via the windows. So, when it cools off at night, we would crack the windows - the smaller the crack the faster the breeze , roughly 3 or 4 inches wide is how much we'd open the windows to the bedrooms and make sure to leave the bedroom doors open as well so the air could flow in through the windows and down the hallway to be recycled up through the attic fan. As a side effect of the cool air flowing through, it cooled off the attic space which made the house cooler. Truly, attic fans are awesome. I bet a lot of folks would use them if they knew it could save money to cool the house. Plus, it's green because it doesn't put out heat or CO2. I am not sure how I came across this video but I found it interesting and I'm pretty sure I'm a few years older than you because I remember loving having an attic fan as a kid in the 1970's.

That's a great comment, thank you for sharing! I think they are WONDERFUL in drier environments. I just think they are funny here in central Florida because 9-10 months out of the year, early morning before sunrise is the only time the air is cool enough that you'd want it in your house ... but it's often 100% humidity at that time. So if you use your fan then, you suck the cool, dry air from your house into your attic, and the cool damp air from outside is now in your home. And your HVAC has to dry it again before it can combat midday heat and actually maintaint that cooler temp. But I would LOVE to have a whole house fan anywhere with a drier climate! You think they are asking too much of a premium for a place like this at the end of a peak market?

Thanks for asking! “Peak” implies that it went up and will now go down. The market here on Florida’s Space Coast is SLOWING down, but prices are not GOING down. It’s a nice unit in a desirable location. I don’t think they’ll have trouble selling it at close to ask price. What do you think?
