I think what draws artists to Home Free is not only their harmonies but also the great respect they have for these artists

It’s important and healthy to reevaluate your life every once in a while. NIN always has complexity and layers, despite covering a few genres, electronic (industrial) rock, blues mostly. They recently did a collaboration with HEALTH called “Isn’t Everyone?” …these lyrics are hard for me to solidify into a confident understanding. Perhaps it would make for an other interesting reaction video?

Patsy Cline is from my hometown of Winchester Virginia and my mom went to school with her and I remember exactly where I was the day she died in the plane crash 😢😢😢. My mom was heartbroken 😢😢😢. Our family burial plots are in the same cemetery as Patsy's. 😢😢😢

Thumbs down for spreading this video. It's a complete fabrication. From the start: Conscripted sailors (on both sides) was one of the leading causes of the war. Key was not sent by the government to negotiate the release of American prisoners. He was hired by a family to negotiate the release of _one_ captive. There was no mass negotiation or deal. At this point, (this is the War of 1812), the British government already recognized the American Independence. The fort lowering its flag would not signify America's surrender. Fort McHenry. Fort Henry is in Tennessee and won't see action until the Civil War The entire British Fleet was not there. Even if they leveled the fort the war would not have been over. The river was blocked anyway. The fort was a military fort. It was not full of women and children. No one would have been under British rule if the flag came down. Key was left off down shore prior to the start of the battle. He wasn't relaying the battle to anyone on the ships. The next few minutes of the video are just make believe. Due to the range of the fort's guns only a handful of British ships could get within firing range of the fort. The flag was not directly hit. There were four deaths at the fort, not a "pile of bodies." (Seriously this whole part doesn't even make sense. Break a popsicle stick multiple times and then prop it up with sugar packets in place of bodies and it becomes instantly obvious how ridiculous that even is.)

Sadly, Patsy fell victim to the same cause of death of so many musicians from that time period - Jim Croce, Richie Valens, Ricky Nelson - they died flying in a private plane. LISTEN UP. The odds of dying in a private plane - usually piloted by someone barely qualified; in a plane probably not well maintained and even if - are 100 times greater than in a commercial jetliner. It's bad enough that idiots drive cars on land - but let them fly a plane? Only a fool flies in a private plane. Sadly - no one apparently told that to Patsy and the others.

Don’t carry that weight brother. I had panic attacks before anyone knew what they were. I figured out drinking would ease them. Unfortunately my tolerance grew and the panic attacks grew more and more severe. I was in my junior year of college when the levels of both went off the rails. I went to treatment 2 years later. My dad doesn’t know to this day that I heard him on the phone with Betty Ford and they rejected me due to liability. I was drinking a gallon of wine in the morning(past 3 a.m.) because my stomach couldn’t handle anything else. Then over the course of that 24 hours I would drink two cases of beer and a fifth of whiskey. I would try to eat mashed potatoes from a fast food restaurant once a week. Finally a place in New Hampshire, closed years ago, took me. One thing I should mention in case anyone else suffers with this is I couldn’t get drunk anymore unless I chugged a fifth of Everclear before going out to a bar. The rehab coordinated with the airline as I’m from the south. They had me drink until I hit the front door. They gave me my dad’s drinks in first class and had me fill shampoo bottles with wine. When we touched down at Logan my aunt and uncle were waiting with two cases and a fifth of Canadian Mist. They really splurged. While in detox I couldn’t figure out why the nurses and doctors kept peeking around the corner while I was watching football and movies. I found out later doctors were calling doctors, as I was told, conferring on how much more Librium they could give me. I was told the quantities were so much higher than ever given before but I couldn’t figure out why my panic attacks went away. I of course found out they were held at bay because of the benzodiazepine. I only weighed 106 lbs but I’m 6’1” and my normal walking around weight was 185-190. When they took me off the benzodiazepine, my panic attacks were back. They freaked when their machines couldn’t read my blood pressure and the doctors couldn’t get a count on my heart rate. Fortunately I didn’t have damage to my liver or other organs. They hypothesized the alcohol acted almost like formaldehyde. I have no idea if they were right but when I got home I fortunately found a doctor that taught me breathing techniques. I didn’t even want to waste my time with it but I was hanging on by a thin string. Now I’m like a robot. 16 breaths a minute. I’m not mad about my failures along the way because everyone did their best. They didn’t know. On top of that, I knew drinking like that wasn’t optimal. That sounds flippant but I knew it wasn’t helping just like heart professionals advising me to relax was impossible since I would also wake up with them. All that to say I feel like you’re putting things on your back but you can only do and guess what’s best. Man, that was over 25 years ago and truly doesn’t seem real. Sorry for grammatical errors but if I go back to proofread, I’ll delete it. Not one to talk about feelings and my heart rate has increased just typing this.

I remember my dad tuning to alcoholism in his older years, but he finally gave it up for good after I told him if he couldn't say he loved me while sober, then don't say it. The night he died, I was at the hospital and told him I loved him, then left. Early that morning I got the call that he had passed. Now, 20 years later, I still miss him.

Great reaction! If you liked it, I think you would like a lot of their other songs. Most of them deal with mental health issues. I can recommend Panic Attacks, Brittle, Under the Knife (the 'normal' and the acoustic version), and so many others (basically all of them). But beyond that to me it is hands down my favorite band. They've got really consistently awesome music.

This song was at the top of the charts as we were driving from Texas to Iowa for my Dad’s funeral. As we passed through each radio station’s coverage area, it seemed to be on every channel frequently. I love the song but at that time, it was a little hard to take.
