i remember being a early 1st phase recruit seeing 3rd phase recruits do this same drill movement at this exact location on PI & being in awe just standing there thinking to myself this is the sharpest drilling i’ve ever seen but also thinking dang my platoon has a long way to go 😂

Crazy part I was motivated as hell until I found out I was being stationed on the east coast. Which I did not want. Then I started drinking heavy and ruined my career. I wanted out anyways after all the bs. Still a hardcore motivator and still miss being in the Marines just not my old command. Fk them. But I’m heavily invested into cryptos and workout everyday and life is 100x better than ever, sober 100%.

One day our DIs weee incensed with us for sum reason.... again. They told us we woukd b having duck for lunch n the messhall. I remember thinking, Duck? But i dont like duck. We soon learned what they meant. We went into the messhall and as soon as we got to the mess line they literally chased us thru it. The lucky recruits got a ladleful if mashed taters but they didnt get to enjoy it bc we were shooed right out of the mess hall

Thank God for bootcamp. I had trouble with my son. He wouldn’t listen to me and would blame me for everything. All I ever did was nurture him and give him everything I never had. When he turned 18 he left to live w his step dad. Now he’s in bootcamp and realized he had it good all along. ❤ Thank you SGT.s!!! Oooh-Rahh 🇺🇸

My dad told me his WW2 DIs were the meanest most in shape men he’d ever seen. They’d run up and down the line on long marches and carry other men’s rifles who had passed out . My uncle was tougher than gang busters and he said he couldn’t whip his jump school instructor and knew not to try it. WW2 soldiers wee just different.

From the initial inspection that they purposely make you fail, to the gong show the night before leaving training. These truly was best experience I never want to go through again.
