Here is an alternative and more accurate script. With a quartz watch, you open it up, insert a battery, and provide it with power, effectively bringing it to life. We have the ability to create quartz movements like the Citizen Caliber 0100, which is accurate to within ±1 second per year. Yet, most of the industry focuses on making movements inferior to the Zenith El Primero 3600-the most accurate mechanical movement, but still more than 1,000 times less accurate than the Citizen 0100 at roughly 1,095 seconds per year. The stagnation and backwardness of the watchmaking industry are frankly beyond compare. Sad times.

I love the Portugueser but it’s not in the same league as the GO. Not even close. From design to movement finishing, to technical specs, it’s GO all the way. I get the romance of the Portugueser and the history but they are quite overpriced for what they actually are.
