They are very nice. Question: can you have two rows like if you wish to print a verse/quote. are there smaller fonts? new on this art and on your channel. liked & subscribed.

@@Mark_135 The bracelet blanks can be purchased in several sizes. The bigger the cuff, the more rows you could potentially pack in there. Font stamps also come in lots of sizes. I think the smallest I own is 2 or 2.5mm. I think the most rows I’ve stamped on a cuff bracelet was 5 rows on a 1 inch wide bracelet blank. A google search for metal stamping fonts and for metal cuff bracelet blanks will give you loads of options.

I'm just entering this space. Are ImpressArt and Owden stamps interchangeable? Pros/Cons of each? Love your videos. Thanks so much.

@@deuscaritas1 I actually hadn’t heard of Owden until your comment! I’m looking at them online compared to Impressart, and they seem identical. They could even come from the same manufacturer, then labeled by the individual brands. If I was just starting, I’d go with the Owden since they seem to be less expensive. Then it’s not so much of an investment if you decide it’s not your thing. I still use and enjoy the Impressart sets that k have. Sorry I’m not more help!

If it bounces you hitting to hard. Brass hammer are only good fr dead soft metal. Learn the proper use of a chaffing hammer. Go a little bit more on the money and get a 9 lb anvil it is a great investment and you can do so much more with it. 1000 grit sand paper gets off the burr and polishes the metal. Okay she is nee to metal work as she said. Just learn proper techniques she had no clue and figured out what worked for her. When I put a hole in any metal I use a center punch (2.00) and a drill bit and a drimmel. You probably already have a drimmel and drimmel bits.
@makeitkate3240
@makeitkate3240 3 ай бұрын
Agreed! Another reason for the bounce was that I was using a plastic table instead of something solid. 🤦🏼‍♀️ It also took me a long time to learn that was the reason I was getting double images. I only stamp on very soft metals like aluminum and dead soft copper, so the brass hammer is still my favorite choice. Thanks for the comment!

Hi! Thank you so much for all the tips! I’m new in jewelry stamping and you have helped me so much. ❤️ Do you have tips for stamping in brass? Does a brass hammer can turn into a better result? I get a lot of double stamping and don’t get a clean look neither a nice stamp 😢
@makeitkate3240
@makeitkate3240 4 ай бұрын
I prefer using a brass hammer. To fix your double stamping, try putting your bench block on a more solid surface when you stamp. Like a counter or a really sturdy table. And then just more practice!❤️

That font is called “fish fingers.” I got those stamps used, so I’m not sure who the manufacturer/brand is. But you can find them online by googling “fish fingers metal stamp font.”

Great helpful video!Thank you. 😊 On the video going out of focus, just a little photography tip (prof photographer here), record a little farther out and you could always edit/crop the video in closer when your done if you want viewers to see up close. Farther out can avoid from the lens to go in and out if focus to find which area to be trying to find the focal point and will cover the whole area

Great video! I'm stamping fairly thick silver bars. The problem I'm having, is that every time I stamp them in the middle, it bends the silver bar. Is there a way to stamp without bending the metal?
@makeitkate3240
@makeitkate3240 8 ай бұрын
The first thing I think of is that you might just be stamping a little too hard for what your silver bars can take. Do you know what gauge the bars are? In my experience, anything thinner than 18 gauge will distort really easily. One thing you can try would be to use multiple softer taps instead of a hard blow. You could also try to work harden your silver just a bit before stamping. You could do that by just lightly hammering it repeatedly with a rawhide or nylon mallet. If those things don’t help, I can try to help you with more troubleshooting.
