As a ex steam fireman/driver, enjoyed your video, but it’s such a fast world out there now.

I remember the Metropolitan, Circle and H&C platforms at King's Cross used to be really dirty, dingy and thoroughly depressing before the remodel.

It's a film with permissions , names and details are not generally permissable . Might have had to have the drivers permission too .

Coming back from a tour in Germany 2 years ago this was our last train. It was such a pleasure after all the hassle, cancellations and changes we encountered on our journey. Disability access in the EU is atrocious both on platforms and trains.

When in automatic operation does the driver have to do nothing? Or is it feet up!

The driver opens/closes the doors, has to press a button for the train to start and they take over if necassary.

Hmm.i think it was the Metropolitan Railway that went that far north and not the Metropolitan Line.

the speed captions are not intrusive, keep them, if you skip along you have no idea what the limit is, better still, the actual speed

on the heels of the advent of robo shuttles (i.e., ATO) -- which its barons were coyly hush-hush about its automation -- and probably pre-dating the just as-keptoparasitic House of Windsor's Victoria Line by days: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/js9xgrN_1cyapJc.html There's never been any other sightseeing el or overground since this Expo-Express (Summer Seasons '67 through '72).

The crisp eating was just silly. Made a really otherwise great video just cheap and attention-seeking. Like everyone else, I laughed at first. But when we've still got to listen to disgusting munching and lip-smacking 15 minutes later, it was beyond 'annoying'. Misophonia is real and people eating food is one of the biggest triggers.

This is a wonderful video, and offers such a unique view of the line. At 41:40 when the tunnel opens up into a cutting is the site of the long since closed station Marlborough Road. It was opened in 1868, and closed in 1939. Look very closely at the concrete wall spanning the tracks, and you can see a curved marking showing where the overall roof of the station used to be. I imagine the station may have looked very much like Bayswater or Paddington (Praed Street) do today. Though the platforms have been removed, on the left and right are tunnel portals where passengers would have entered and left the platforms. This drivers eye view gives us such an amazing look at this tiny slice of history. Thank you so much for the upload!

An enjoyable ride. A shame though that the sites of the three former stations between Baker Street and Finchley Road (viz Lord’s 18:56, Marlborough Road 20:20 and Swiss Cottage 21:32) aren’t captioned. Apologies if someone else has already commented on this and I've missed it.
