I bet by now you have a lot of different ideas than you did when you made this video. For 1, you could have added two more of the engines the ship came with because they only take 2 bars each and you are allowed up to 12 bars. You could have made that ship with 100 percent mobility.

I know this playthrough is actually months old but the Belerion DLC is pretty bad-ass looking, as well as the Tavern Opens DLC.

I definitely want to dive into those someday, just not sure that will make the channel. Would have to do a new play through. Might do a condensed one though. Just highlights.

I don't know which is worse, Bethesda not understanding cloning or Bethesda not understanding how a script/story works. I'm glad I didn't pay them for a clone though.

I completed Gale’mission and romanced him. Still in the last battle I have to pass a 25 charisma persuasion check. Is there anything I missed for him to willingly unalive himself?
@ColorsFadeGamingКүн бұрын
If you have high affinity with him (I'm not sure how high exactly, but closer to max the better) then no check is necessary. You won't actually have to worry about until you actually make the ascent to the top. There's a dialog with him before then, and it makes it seem like it's the last moment, but it's not.

Following in your Mech-steps on my Memorial play through for my departed Battletech sparring partner and touched down on Cate's Hold last night. Done the missions and ready to move but the game taunts me by having complete examples of an Atlas II, Awesome, Star League Highlander and an Annihilator available! Tempted to go for broke and buy the Atlas at least but I'll need to clear a slot in the Mech Bay ... ... ...
@ColorsFadeGaming2 күн бұрын
I have a love/hate relationship with Cate's Hold. Love it precisely because you can find great mechs there in the early game. Hate it because I either never have the funds to buy them, or when I do, they don't have the mech parts. If there's an Atlas II there, you should buy it. No question. Sell a mech to make space, then travel REALLY FAR (provided you have the cash) to give yourself time to outfit and prep it.

I'm at the end of Act 1 in my second honour run (the first was killed by an owlbear) and I've done almost everything differently 😂 Didn't fight the owlbear because f it :-)) Used gobbos and gnolls to get to level 5, killed ogres without talking to them at level 4, killed spiders by just hiding and having them come to me. Made sure to take Alert feat on everybody. Used beastmaster ranger bear companion honey paws from invis to get a silver sword from Voss. Used silence on Gut. Knocked out Minthara carefully. Made Ragzlin come to me through ice, grease and misery while taking pot shots and hiding behind walls in Minthara's hallway :-) Surronded Ethel by my party, told Mayrina about her brothers, won initiative, bursted Ethel down right there (decided not to risk getting the hair). Discharged Nere's ability (took damage) from range then bursted him down in one turn. Had summons from scrolls for all party for Grym, dicharge his ability with summons, Command Halt, smack with the maul, repeat until done. Had battlemages elixir on Shadowheart - lucky at that level. Fought inquisitior after prizm, burst down in one turn - nothing stands against Lae'zel with the Silver Sword when she's also a sorcadin :-)) Getting ready for Act 2, feeling cocky, probably death of a run near 😅

I just don't understand what they were even aiming at with this game. Like I'm genuinely lost with which parts I'm supposed to enjoy. Whenever I was like 'oh fuck yea it's time to do this' for the first time, like fly to a distant speck and watch it become a planet. nope, cutscene. I buy a hab for medical on my ship, yes! time to hire a doctor. nope. This game is like a north Korean storefront. It is just 100% shallow illusion and illusions are fine, that's games in a sense, but make them deep and make them convincing. This is designed like it assumes players are either stupid or 'cool'. We're game players, we care about every single thing that happens on screen. I don't honestly know what this game could do to be brought back. Space travel, a use for habs, realistic planets, interesting aliens with some damn lore or something. Some comedy, some tragedy, some depth. It's just aromantic pudding.

You would have to get rid of most of the items that are pickable too, and how you interact with the world in the games, you obviously don't get what The Elder Scrolls is All about. I agree with you that the dialogue and story need A ton of improvement but the rest of the mechanics don't need to be thrown out but just added on. It sounds like you want Bethesda to copy others' game mechanics. Lame.

@@ColorsFadeGaming Yeah, I know, it was a joke. I just didn't feel like explaining the obvious reasons why the first-person view surpasses the third-person view in games like these and why they shouldn't abandon the option to switch, focusing instead on the first-person perspective. The first-person view offers a higher level of immersion, creating a sense of presence and deeper engagement with the world; visual details and atmosphere are perceived as more realistic and captivating; combat mechanics become more precise, allowing better control of the character; interactions with NPCs and completing quests feel more personal and meaningful, enhancing the involvement in the game's story and world. In games that focus on the third-person view, you’re just a jumping puppet moving from place to place, sometimes dodging and parrying, completely detached from your character. And let's not forget, all games ALWAYS end up with combat like in the Souls series; it's just inevitable.

There are mods to adjust the registration fee and the ship sale values to something more reasonable. I highly recommend them if you’re on PC. Selling an entire ship shouldn’t net you less than half of what you make for your very first mission. 🙄🤦🏻♂️

20:06 Johnny saying he wished he'd had the chance to call his loved ones before going on his suicide run... As a fan of this IP which has existed since 1987, I am highly familiar with Silverhand's story and personality from the decades of the tabletop RPG. Thankfully, CDPR picked Keanu to play this role and they picked correctly. Silverhand was ex-military and not a nice guy until it counted. Keanu knocked it iut of the park with his best cyberpunk role yet and still gave missing, integral character and continued backstory than we received conclusively until now. The fact that this version of Johnny (Relic v Real) can show this level of compassion 50 years after his death is important to the character. It is easy to say the word redemption. It is less easy to show it without telling.

This is a fantastic video. It's clear and succinct with nice editing. Though if I want to throw in my two cents. Bethesda's way of creating packed indoor environments with interactive objects makes first person feels quite necessary. I think a really simple way to build on the combat is a short dash and parry button like Assasins Creed. And for combat variety, they could take a page out of dragons dogma and have equippable weapon skills that cost stamina.

Just a quick note to say that having done a Kerensky run in which broke away from your flightpath, I am going to go again but this time I shall stay in your footprints. This time tho', it is a memorial run for my friend that I lost recently and that means I have to use Kurita mech's in the main but with an override that if it was a Mech that Mick loved then I can use it. Given that he actually really liked a lot of Liao Mech's (especially Catapults) gives me some flexibility. I doubt it will be a Kerensky success, as the unit rules we used to fight under meant that Assault's were hardly ever used and that means I can't do high skull missions as I won't have 'favoured' mechs to pick from in that class ... but we shall see how things go :D EDIT: And straight away I have a problem :) Because Mick played Sword of Light, I picked a Kuritan background and that has caused the game to stick me on Lindsay in Davion space because it has Kuritan presence. So I have about a thirty day flight to get to your starting point of Panzyr. Still that will give me time to start working on Mechs as I fly out that way :chuckles: I started with a couple of Vindicators, so Mick would be happy with those but also a couple of Commando's ... which are a bit too Lyran for his taste :D

this is a delusional take, raiding and doing a peace deal after surprising them is what idiots like imperial japan tried to do to the usa, or napoleon and hitler tried to do with russia, even in real life it doesn't work, a wide empire doesn't give a shit if it loses a bunch of land, especially if they know you won't beable to hold it, seeking a peace treaty from this is stupid, any one with a brain knows that destroying the enemy army/fleet is the most important, trying to surprise them from taking a bit of territory is a fools errand, once they mobilize even if its slow you are fucked. im pretty sure hoi4 also has this concept.

i feel like all this seethe is due to wanting to play tall, and let me tell you, that the obsession with playing tall is just stupid, tall is easy to play and braindead turtling, therefore the game shouldn't reward this type of gameplay at all. sad that they made the busted virtual ascension recently

Trying to support "Tall" play is probably how hyper relays got put into the game in the first place. As for me, if you watch my Let's Plays at all, I mention a lot that more = more. Or at least, it should. I play wide because I think "tall" is misnomer. I think trying to support "tall" play (which is really just "small") requires too many broken and artificial systems to support it.

I honestly hated this game when I first played it. But then I stopped trying to play it like every other game out there and just started walking. No quest no mission no goal, just me my buddies and the open world. I slowly started to understand that this game is not about a great story, combat,missions etc. Its about createing your own narrative, who did you meet what did you see what did you discover. I understand why people dislike this game but I am not one of thise people anymore. This game FORCES you to live breathe and soak up everything in this world......and I get that now
