I have this transmission in my Chrysler 300, and it really shifts beautifully! It also feels like a strong transmission, and ZF recommends replacing the filter and fluid by 150 000 kms, using green ZF fluid only! 😊

From my own experience, this is the most unreliable engine, it has two major problems: 1.Timming chain. 2. Rocker Arms The engine in my car w213 2017 only done 68000 mile when both timming chain and rocker Arms failed. Mercedes coat me £3380 for 15 hours to replace timing chain and and the rocker arms. My advice is to keep away from the OM654 220d engine.

Based on this animation it looks like the Miller cycle to me. This engine is similar to the 1.5L VW engine in the Jetta.

It isn't Atkinson cycle, but Miller cycle. Atkinson use multi link crankshaft. Miller use different valve timing and direct injection

To better visualize, if you were to remove the pistons and look at the crankshaft head-on: The flat-plane will look relatively flat, like a minus "-" sign, where 4 pistons attach to each of the 2 sides The cross-plane will look more like a plus "+" sign, where 2 pistons attach to each of the 4 sides

I'm fascinated by this. At first I was put off by the speed limit a little, but come to think about it, I very seldom went over 170km/h, even when it was perfectly legal do do so, on the Germany's Autobahn, high speed just makes (safe) driving much more strenuous, so I abstain from it. In real world, we need practical cars, with which you commute and drive with your family, bringing kids to their activities or school, what we don't need is 3 seconds to 100km/h acceleration and speeds of over 250km/h - I'll happily trade this for a smooth and economical ride. Acceleration of e:HEV is also nothing to be ashamed of either... So this is a winner in my book.

I created a motor with one liter of 100-150 liters.I pull it out without inflating and the consumption of 3-4 liters in the city, there are almost no exhaust gases and this is without a catalyst.

I've done 125000 KM on mine and its got no performance issues whatsoever, its OG spark plugs and not consuming a drop of oil and easily returning over 50mpg. I have always planned on a carbon clean at 160,000 KM or 10 years whichever comes first but I'm skeptical of whether I would actually need to.

Most European V8s are cross plane. Flat planes are actually only common in supercars.
