First, PV is Process Variable. SP, PV, & CV are all closed loop (P, PI, PID) terms. Second, Good Video! I wish this video was longer ... So my question is about the "SEND" and the "SAVE" buttons. I remember "in the day" when I used a Honeywell STS102 or 103. And I could set the values; however, for the transmitter to hold on to them, I had to "save" those values. For the 475: To pin it down; What happens if I just type over the value that's there? (and I believe I can do that, text over without sending, even at the overview screen) When I "send" the value, what happens? What happens when I "save"? Is that for the transmitter, the handheld, or both? Do the selections change depending on the manufacture of the device? (obviously, if it is a different device, pressure trans Vs temperature trans, there will be differences. But what about two transmitters that are both pressure transmitters but from two different manufacturers both using HART to communicate? Does the menu selection change?) Thank you all in advance.

Dear Jason, there is a mistake in your SIL Level vs PFD avg table at 8:57. HIGHER SIL values have corresponding LOWER PFD avg values. Please check it. Good luck

Hello, on the hydraulic diagram of my boiler the differential pressure valve carries three pipes. One pipe is connected on the delivery pipe of the heaters, the other two pipes are connected on the pump suction. Can you tell me why two pipes are connected to the pump suction? Hey there i need some help regarding auto switching of 2 airpumps for my fish tank, i.e. only one airpump is given power and both are connected in parallel, with only one air pump working at one given point of time, now at the time when one of the pumps stop working, i want the other pump to start automatically without any manual intervention.

The switch has 3 poles. The center pole connects to one pole. But when the pressure is increasing high enough, the center pole changes to connect to other pole.
