I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. 🤦🏻♀ The other one is a $40 one *yutulu* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym 😅

Lovely collection! I bought my first LV when I was 25 and I only used that bag a few times, haha. Also, love your clutch! I have an Eva clutch in the DE print and love the little chain. But I don’t want to spend so much money on it now, I have been *yutulu* buying the bag I want, it is as good as LV and is one of my favorite things. Durability

Amazing “ode” to the Kelly 😂 I managed to score a vintage (29 years old) Constance 18 in box leather as well and I am completely smitten by box. My next hunt is also a K32 vintage in rouge H and K28 in black - and both retourne. Wish me luck 🍀

Having more different bags will give you different choices, or feelings. I used to think bags with full leather inside and outside were high-end, but now I think bags lined with cloth are better because they are lighter. *condup*

ooh in the retourne style? I was told by my SA they no longer make it in the retourne in the box leather, just in the sellier style, but thats so cool if they do :)

the kelly looks best in box leather, 100% agree. i actually think their other softer leathers just look odd on such a structured bag. also agree the 32 is a very practical size, i can fit a book or journal inside. i love my kelly, i need to wear it more but mine's red so i feel a bit self conscious sometimes - it's such a statement and doesn't always go with outfits. also mine is in decent shape for a 48 yr old bag, but needs a new handle someday >_< a vintage black hermes bag (not sure what kind!) is on my distant-future-wishlist

Looks so beautiful! I haven't really paid attention to the 32 but it is much more practical to me and leans more casual than the smaller sizes (or at least is more flexible to dress up and down). I've been lusting after the Retourne as well, but saving that for a present for hitting some big milestones!

This Kelly looks so gorgeous, compliments your own style beautifully, and I adore the chameleon aspect to it-dressed up or down it looks fab. I’ve never been a Birkin fan, but your Kelly, the Kelly Elan, or wearing the Kelly wallet (with a conversion kit crossbody strap) underneath an undone coat/jacket/trench so it peaks through almost like a piece of jewellery? Box leather is amazing. It’s so so beautiful. But I have to say there are so many more “affordable” vintage Hermes bags in the lesser known styles. I have some really beautiful vintage bags from Hermes that were well well below retail. Several under 1000 because they didn’t have the Kelly lock.

Which vintage styles would you recommend? I love the look of the box leather on the Kelly and the size of the 32x but realistically don’t believe I may get as much use day to day

@@LL-et3yk I have several Trim bags in different leathers and sizes. I love that bag in the slimmer Trim 1 version. I also love the Fourre Tout but in leather as I like a simple, sporty but sleek bag and It’s easy to add a strap. There are loads of vintage styles such the Drag which has a birkin vibe but that’s more in the 2000 range. The Whitebus is cool. There are loads!

I love my vintage Kelly 32! She’s a black box Sellier from 1969!!! I absolutely adore her!! Literally the perfect bag. Her bestie is a 32 Kelly Retourne in Gulliver leather in the classic orange from 1996. I am beyond lucky to have these beauties and believe me I am very aware of it!

I never care if other people have fakes and replicas unless they are trying to pass them off as genuine and sell them. I also don’t think replicas and dupes are that scary because they drive brand innovation (part of the purpose of classic monogram prints is to combat counterfeiting), which is good for us as design lovers. I guess I can understand people not wanting the same package as everyone else, but if it's a good *condup* whether authentic or not, it makes sense that more people would want it

Thank you for sharing your collection. I came here because I'm considering the Toteme t-lock and was looking for reviews. Like your video and subscribed after watching. I do like the tan Toteme a lot, but I already have the Loewe Puzzle medium in tan, so I feel the Toteme will be a bit redundant. And I actually do need a black bag currently more. I'm contemplating however between the grained black leather with the white stitching and the smooth black with the gold hardware. I was wondering if you had the chance to compare both and what was you take? Unfortunately I'm not able to see the bags in a store so I have to do my due diligence before ordering it online. P.S. I also have the Céline trio in the same deep blue color. Love❤
