This shit here is a reason why I can never be a soldier irl. I can never be brave enough to just run towards the direction of a dozen machine guns or hundreds of rifles firing at you. I get made fun of of being scared of war but at least Im being real.

I am still fucking perplexed that what I'm seeing now, all the horrors of war, the death of hundreds, the screams of thousands, and the terror of artillery and gunfire, is not restored war footage, not even a movie, but a damn video game that I can play right now on my computer comfortably in my own home.

The ringing sound after the bomb lands and the cough when the gas comes in are so realistic.

Not to focus on the bad things (about the graphics, the whole war is bad) but the explosions were upside - down.

2:17, two infantrymen, and a sentry charge through the trench. One of the infantry men is flown back by an artillery shot, the shrapnel basically turning his left side into my father (but atleast my father comes back.) The shrapnel deflects from the sentry as the infantryman is still screaming at the top of his lungs. Out of fear, worry, and maybe the sight of a british soldier, the sentry stops full autoing the front of him. This is a game, how is it so scary and epic!?

I loved 2016’s games. Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1 are still some of my favourite games.

Battlefield 1 may not be perfect, but it's atmosphere is incomparable. Just the right mix of horrors of war and video game immersion.
