You can find them on Bricklink or Brick Owl.

Are those front wheels privide better performance than using the usual lego balls?
@nextlevelteacherАй бұрын
Yes- I have found the robot can drive perfectly straight. I noticed an occasional slight wobble when starting robots that use the ball caster (particularly when using a gyro drive straight code).

The blue spike wheels is not good. It have a really small contact area with the groud. I recomend the Technich 62.4 x 20. Its the same diameter and better.

Are they exactly the same diameter?
@xXXEnderCraftXXx6 сағат бұрын
No.Thar would be the one that were included in the EV3 Education edition set. Though those are very thick too.

The main code for this is a gyro drive straight/backwards algorithm. You can access a free copy of the code here along with other resources- nextlevelteacher.com/join/

I got the code for some missions rn
@Mmgxmer4 ай бұрын
The thing is the flower mission will not work because most boards do not rely on gravity to complete the mission
@itz_gameslayer9174 ай бұрын
What type of coding do you use? In your past videos, i've seen you used some advanced blocks like gyro and some other blocks that are not in the spike prime? could elaborate on that part.
@Sothspood4 ай бұрын
I would not use a lever arm for that mission instead a push and only have the bot slide to the right so you can save time

How do you align the robot
@nextlevelteacher6 ай бұрын
The robot is aligned with the side wall and a bold black mark on the mat (except run 3). Using the same spot as much as possible helps!
@iskerball82316 ай бұрын
Congratulations, what did you do for the innovative project?
@CollinKeegan6 ай бұрын
Great little overview! My team used to use a spreadsheet to organize which missions we did in which runs to try and make the most efficient combinations possible. Also, more of an advanced thing, but we used a color sensor in the robot to automatically detect what attachment was on the robot - a lot of teams waste a lot of time selecting the right code to run.

do you have any pointers to building instructions for a modular robot base? rookie team looking for inspiration

Building a box style robot is great for alignment and having a way to quickly add attachment frames is key. The designs featured in the video are available at nextlevelteacher.com

Both my teams conducted tests, independently, and verified this. Switching to wheels with black rubber treads greatly improved the traction. They had to adjust the design to account for the wheels being a different size.
@nextlevelteacher6 ай бұрын
I have found this also, particularly under weight when using a large attachment. One of our teams used the 86652 wheels and had amazing results, setting the Australian record. They are the most consistent wheels I have seen used in FLL.
