That's my goal man. Once I get my diploma and about 2-3 years of work experience in the computer science field. I want to GTFO from canada and work remotely in costa rica. Thanks for proving us it's definitely possible!

Great shots brother, I really like your work. One of the very few vlogs I've actually enjoyed! I'm on the west coast of Mexico and this area has a bit of surfing but is world class skimboard country. The bay where I live is a stop on the SkimUSA tour as well as a stop for a couple of Mexican tours. While I am not shooting professionally, I think we live somewhat similar lives, and like you, I have nothing to complain about. Keep up the great work!

Good job with your video incliding the iphone part. I was born in Antigua but I was taken abroad as a child. Antigua was a very quiet small town before tourism. Now many residential homes in the center have been converted into hotels, cafes, boutiques, souveneer shops etc. Traffic is awful especially trucks and big buses. The original cobble stones on the streets were smooth squares now they are irregular and rough. It is good that you mentioned them because the sidewalks are also rough to navigate. Antigua is definitely not easy for people with mobility issues. Back then almost every house was painted white and just a few homes pale yellow and pink, now it's like a circus but the colors energize. Despite all the changes I walk on clouds when I go there. Antigua is a feast for the senses. Next time you go there be sure to try Guatemalan food, visit the ever lava spewing Pacaya volcano (safer than Fuego Volcano) and either use Google maps or get a map since Antigua proper is about 9x9 blocks. The huge volcano you see from almost everywhere is Volcan de Agua which is non operational (I can't remember the technical term.) Is south of the city. People are super nice so asking for directions is easy.

Hey mate looking at upgrading from an xt3 to a xh2s. When filming surfing and panning do you notice skipping from the ibis and do you disable lens stabilisation? Just wondering if they have ironed out this issue as I need to do all filming with no stabilisation on the xt3z

Nice work hermano! I'm binge watching surf photography vids ahead of my upcoming return to CR and can not wait. Should you find your way down south in Dominical look me up. I will be spending the next 6 months surfing and/ or shooting in water surf photos. Pura Vida.

Always repping the JRE podcast. Happy your boy gets to hear that stuff at a young age. Really broad perspective in all those pods for a young kid to soak up. Pods weren’t around when I was a kid. Or they weren’t popular anyway.

Cool photos man! I'm literally in a similar position because I've also just got into surf photography/videography and can't wait for the season to start again soon. I'm also using a Fujifilm camera and lens myself (X-T4 and XF70-300). You have the XH-2S and XF100-400 right? Would like to know your prefered autofocus settings. For me, I started action photography using Zone AF, but I've started using Single Point more and I fell it's probably better for both photo and video regarding surf. Is that what you use?

Exactly bro. That’s what I use outside and inside the water. Thanks for the nice words!

Hi! Such a nice video. Thanks for sharing about Costa Rica. I’m curious if you’ve been to Bali before. I tried staying here for a year but realized that it’s just too touristic for me and the asian culture is a bit too aggressive for me. Costa Rica, however, seem to be more livable long term from what I’ve seen so far. Super excited for my next trip.

I suggest a good long visit first and travel around to see what you enjoy. CR has gotten drastically expensive recently. So much so the locals are having a tough time and that really sucks!

So sad you missed the volcano hike, you could've gotten all of those things from the tour company as they rent all the gear you need for it! Next time! :/ and yes CR is so expensive compared to everywhere else!!
