I appreciate you sharing your journey and your daily struggles. There’s a lot of us out here going through the same. I hope you find some relief with the heat. I can’t imagine not having ac in the summer. I also find it’s hard to get motivated to clean but once I start, I realize it’s therapeutic, plus having a freshly cleaned home just puts me in a better mood. Maybe you’ll find a sense of peace just venting your struggles in your videos. It’s a way to get it out and process it, and not bottle up your feelings. Keep your head up and keep going!

Thank you for saying this, it means a lot. I struggle a lot with both talking about things until it just gets to a point where I’m falling apart. I always feel better after venting things out, but feel guilty for unloading on whoever I’m venting to 😅 at least in a video people can just click off and i have no clue 🤣 still gets it off my chest a bit. And yes the lack of AC is rough 🤪 heat does things to your mind 😅😭

It's crazy how similar our stories are! I also lost 70lbs way back when I was in college at 18 years old. I slowly gained it back plus some over all of these years. I love intermittent fasting. I usually do the 16:8 plan. Right now I am really loving the zig zag diet. Just this past week I lost 10lbs in a week!!! That has NEVER happened before! I like to mix the two up here and there to fit my schedule. I only ever walk and hike as my form of exercise. I even do indoor walking if the weather is bad. I literally HATE other forms of exercise. I have failed in the past because I was doing workouts that I hated. I also eat a mix of healthy and unhealthy foods. I used to go crazy and buy all sugar free, low fat, whole wheat everything, blah blah blah. It was so boring and not sustainable. I lose weight and still eat pizza, pasta, breads etc. I like where you are headed! It sounds like you are on the right track and it's 100% doable!

I think your video is great. I love that you are sharing what you are doing to lose weight. I have been trying for months to be in a calorie deficit and I am struggling. So watching videos from other people is helping me. What I like about yours is it’s just real, and weight loss made simple. You are showing that it can be done and it doesn’t have to be hard. I look forward to your next upload. Question, Do you have a lot of food noise going on during the day? Like do you think about food a lot between your protein shakes? I think that’s my biggest challenge. Thinking about food all day.
@ishasavage1993
@ishasavage1993 2 ай бұрын
There are days I have a lot of food noise and days I don’t. I mean today the majority of my food noise is just me wanting to get things prepped and cooked for the week, not so much thinking of wanting to eat atm. But there are some days where it feels like its all I can think about! I do find that knowing I have a dinner planned out that I look forward to eating helps. Tonight im going to be having a fried chicken sandwich and im soooo excited for it 😅 I find the days that I’m struggling with food noise the most it helps to distract myself with other things whether that be house work or working on a hobby or craft of some sort whatever you’re interests may be, but just kind of focussing your attention elsewhere can kind of help silence at least some of that noise. It’s definitely a hurdle though.

I'm originally from New York but I live in a small fishing town in Scotland so there isn't a lot of choice. I was able to get two small personal sized ones. The one we cut open was pretty good. They aren't quite in season yet. I love the homemade chips idea. I have an air fryer so I could easily make a serving size. The steak tacos look sooooo good. I'm going to have to make some soon! I love intermittent fasting especially combined with the zigag diet. I agree 100% with calories having to be pretty exact! It's true-input has to be less than output. I'm huge on calorie counting. It ALWAYS works! Can't wait to see more videos from you. I find them very motivating!

You love watermelon like I do. I've been craving them like crazy but I refuse to buy them right now. I know they are going to be awful. I'm impatiently waiting for them to be in season lol. I'm on a weight loss journey too. I'm zigzag dieting and it's the best. You eat lower and higher calories on whatever days you want and it helps prevent plateaus! I have lower calories from Monday to Friday and higher calories on weekends. Doing it this way helps me "take a break" on weekends without messing my diet up. I'm bringing this up because you said you are fixated on calories. A break from that every weekend might help! Also, higher calorie days are great to use up on date nights and events. This is how my week looks-1,300 calories M-F and 2.700 calories on Saturday and Sunday. It all depends on your caloric needs/how fast you want to lose weight of course! The weekends feel like huge cheat days and it gives me something to look forward to/work towards every week! I love it! Just an idea!
@ishasavage1993
@ishasavage1993 2 ай бұрын
Oh weird! Based off what I read watermelons are in peak season between May and September. The first two I had were phenomenal and the second two were just ok. I do try to take a break from “restricted” calories, like this past weekend, but I cant help but feel bad about it, even though I did something like splitting a burger meal with my bf instead of having a whole meal to my self. I do think its important to have the cheat days, and its nice to be able to say to mu self “ok that was fun but now it’s back to work!” 😅 Thank you for taking time to comment, best of luck on your journey 💜

I have frizzy curly hair and found the suave whipped cream mousse in wet hair is the best. Let it air dry. Also, the heatless curling rod works wonders. To use that, I put in curl cream or some kind of leave in conditioner on wet hair and frizz control serum. Let it dry almost completely and braid the curling rod into your hair. Sleep on it, take it out and carefully separate your curls. It helps to wind them in the same direction with your finger to help smooth them out. If you see frizz just use a bit more frizz serum and add hairspray. It sounds like a lot but it's more just waiting around for drying. The curling rod is very inexpensive btw. It's just a long silky puff thing. Good luck on your weightloss journey!

Sustainability is KEY. 1000 calorie deficit is awesome and hold that as long as you can. But don’t be afraid to bump back up to 2200 or 2600 for a bit to replenish but still keep losing weight. Also if you really need it you can bump to maintenance for a few days to recover. All that matters is that on average you are in enough of a deficit that you’re consistently losing weight month over month. You keep that up and you’ll be there in no time. You got this ♥️💪 Also make sure you’re still eating foods you love too! :)

@@dogberry20 haha all good, I read your comment a few times and I was like “am i being insulted?” 🤣 but either way what you said isn’t untrue! It does become more and more difficult as we get older. And statistically speaking most people (my self included) who lose weight gain most or all of it back. I'm also on a weight loss journey and have just come across your channel. I started at the beginning of January. I have gone from 232lb to 199lb and reduced my body fat percentage from 42% to 35%. I have also come to the realization based on my body fat percentage I am NEVER going to get into the "healthy" BMI to do that I would have to lose muscle which I don't want to. I am focusing more on my body fat percentage reduction than my weight at this point and how much fitter I am becoming. With regards to the gym and exercise, spin is great for someone who is struggling with joint issues as is swimming. I find classes so much more helpful for me and you can always speak to an instructor about lower impact options. I currently do 4 gym classes a week, 2 weights classes (30mins) a spin class (30 mins) and a circuit class (45 mins). Keep taking and reminding yourself of the wins you have had even if its not showing on the scale yet, it will.
