actually, not because i am orthodox, but "greek" easter is the regular one.... Everyone knows that Pope - cant remember which one, but you can search for it - in recent history, changed the time catholics and other heretic christian religions would celebrate Easter just so he could show his power and make the separation between those two churches even bigger. By that time, even if he would decide to celebrate Easter right after Christmas, nobody would be able to do anything about it.. (ok the last one is obviously extrageration, but that was to give an idea how big Pope's power was back then....)

Saw Basile live in Reno a few years back at the Laugh Factory. Being the only Greek in the audience was awesome! Laughed so hard my sides and tummy hurt and had a headache after...well worth it!

I don't really know what Greek Americans are like, as my only experience comes from stand-up comedy like this and My Big Fat Greek Wedding. As Greek in Greece, all I can say is that i am not religious. Practically all the people i can call my friends, are not religious either and those who are married, they had a civil marriage. Only about 12% of Greeks in Greece go to church on Sunday. I also absolutely loath easter roast lamb and kokoretsi. YUK.
