Meaningful conversations with people who know you and respect/care about you can do SO MUCH. You can inspire compassion in people who maybe hadn't Thought About It That Way Before. If you can, speak up!!

what destroyed my mental health was being forced back into 3-4 hours of commuting daily, only to still have most meetings still be all "online". employers appear to be doing this not only to get ppl to quit but also to prop up their real estate values, all the while pretending the marginal benefits of in-person interactions somehow outweigh the many downsides to being onsite.

Do you guys remember when PBS voices would just, make remixes for people like Bob Ross, and it genuinely brought joy to people, entertainment, and even put people out of depression? If not, go to their oldest videos and you'll see

Living in a very conservative area I've found one of the things I can do is meeting my friends where they are, pointing out who's actually responsible for the things they're upset about and compassionately answering questions they have, even and especially when it's based off misinformation or hate. Good people can believe horrible things and it's important not to write someone off just because they're saying something that's hurtful. If not for others willing to do this for me I'd never have realized I was supporting people who were actively harming me and my community. ❤

Suicide is not a problem at all. It's only a problem when you say you are going to do it. Best to do it when no one knows. Don't say, just do.

All these white people entertainers perpetrating as moind builder indians which is a lie ! Go ask them who their "White Chief" is. It's Tom Aicklen. Tom Aicklen created these tribes in the 1970s. He worked for and ran with Walt Disney himself. Creating fantasy and illusion. And this braud is interviewing these fraud entertainers. There are no Houma, or Bayou LaComb indians. You better go check for Tom Aicklen about what he organized and made up.

very good -- I want this knowledge of injustice to be part of my mature resolution to repair our world with love -- we need a strong green movement world-wide, can the First Nations be in the leadership?

thank you -- I would like one large university teaching and researching the First Nation world in toto for the whole of the Americas, with different courses in the different disciplines - language culture stories art religion craft archaeology psychology anthropology agriculture etc etc there are so many aspects to study and so much salvage and reconstruction needed -- you and your friends should be university professors at the top of the profession -- one university focused entirely on the First Nations -- it could be a wonderful degree -- just like we have English Literature in the UK -- a wonderful substantial learning at the beginning of adulthood, an enrichment and a growth in confidence, and a learning about the big picture of all the First Nations -- I'd like to give that to all First Nation youth who would enjoy and grow with it.

Completely relatable. I too picked up shot put and discus and that moment stepping in the circle helped as young as 6th grade made me face all the things that I struggled with I didn’t even know about and help me push through everything that held me back. Getting out the circle and dealing with things was hard after school but eventually I overcame. Over 15 years later I want to just pick up a shot put or discus and do it again. A victory throw. When I used throw and vulnerable being a big built female. It wasn’t popular part of track and field but I have all respect for those who did. We were tough too and yes we definitely had a way of showing off in different way with our style. Love this!

Such a great video! Thank you! There are still people making videos probably as I’m typing this who want to demonize the African Spirituality and place us all into fear. It’s so important we discover who we truly are along with our heritage beyond slavery. Thank you for making such a positive video showcasing our ancestry in a great light, unlike what ‘certain’ folks in media still do to this day.

anyone who is reading this, I'm sorry this world has let you down and you feel hopeless but please know that you are loved and just talking to someone about your mental state will get you the help you deserve, you will come out of this. please take the first step of getting help for my brother whom we lost to mental health, this is one of the last videos he saw. if you had a physiological condition would you be ashamed to ask for help? probably not. so please know that there is light at the end of the tunnel, you will be understood and help is out there for you to get better. we are all loved by the creator of this universe and i love you too <3
