Good video. But if you're using the metal cards instead of caulking. You need to paint the end of your cuts.

The factory ends are already primed. The cut ends at the trim are caulked. Any odd cuts should be painted.

I'm not sure where or when the whole "hilling" potatoes started, but I've tried both hilling and not hilling with a variety of potatoes and I've seen very little difference in size or yield of my potatoes.

just put them full upright, not facing south, but east west, like a fence. Sun will hit it from both sides during the day, as if you had double the panels in east-west config.

They say the measure of a man is how many small engines he can keep running at a time. Seems like there are always a half dozen or so when you live the rural lifestyle. One thing you said that can't be understated is run NON-ETHANOL fuel in your small engines. My problems essentially went away when I started doing that years ago.

We were developing a rural property for a horse center to be built on and needed to clear out some trees. There were too many undesirable types and plenty of thorny briars as well. Used a large CAT excavator to take them down. Surprisingly there were some black snakes inside at least one fairly large tree. No idea what kind of snake that might've been. Seen another variety that I didn't even know existed.

I like it. I would not have a pool, but in the same area a raised garden and the huge porches, I would have closed in with windows and screens to be 4 seasons porches. I also would like a woodburning cook stove on the porch and inside along with all electrical appliances inside including the regular stove. I don't really care for high ceilings, so I would have raised that and made an upstairs. The 4 season porch could then extend upward to the upstairs as well. Oh, I forgot to add that I would like lanterns all along all the walls just in case the electricity goes out. That is where the woodburning cookstoves on the porch and in the kitchen would help heat. Yes, the kitchen would have two stoves. One woodburning and the other electrical. I like the idea of large farm sinks everywhere. I like the idea of no bathtubs. Only showers. And I like the idea of half baths with large farm sinks. I would need two downstairs and two upstairs. Showers upstairs. The bedrooms are all upstairs. Downstairs would be split into three areas. One single large center for family holidays and on each side of the house a room where the men can go and the women on the other side. Games. Player piano. TVs and CD movie machines along with at least one good old-time radio with speakers throughout the house. I like the idea of having double doors to enter and upstairs a double door and a pulley system to lower the floor from the upstairs to take furniture upstairs more easily without having to use the stairwell. Solar Cells and a couple of wind turbines that look like windmills. A joined car garage with a drain so I may wash the car inside the garage and above the garage a studio with a small kitchenette and single fold up/fold down wall bed. Oh, yes. I like the idea of no carpet anywhere.
