Know your local market before jumping into this business. In central ohio there are already several contractors doing this and they are sitting on thousands of tons of recycled concrete that they cant sell. engineers around here wont allow that material to be used for most applications for many reasons, and you are mostly stuck selling it to residential customers who usually purchase small amounts

I put the same bid in that other departments put in, unfortunately other departments wanted to sign a non compete clause....hmmm i wonder why? Maybe they'll have to deal with the reality their teamates (family members, and friendships) aren't as good.
@EQUIPMENTandCONTRACTINGАй бұрын
Non-compete clauses can definitely complicate things! It's often used to prevent conflicts of interest or protect sensitive information, but it can be frustrating when it feels like it’s affecting team dynamics.

Hi, my father recently started stone aggregator business and he has 30yrs experience in RMC industry. I am an average business management student and I want to help my father in anyway possible. I am good at computers and have interest in the subject of marketing and supply chain management but i have no prior work experience. Can you suggest me any course or if you can give me any tips regarding this, it'll be helpful. BTW I watched this video completely and was able to learn and understand lot of info. Very Helpful! Why do people go to university some of these pays are higher than STEM jobs. Plus entry is vary short and paid as you learn. Plus Union protection I mean I don't see a negative here. They say you might get dirty or work away from home are these negatives. No one does heavy lifting these days the union's wouldn't allow it.
@EQUIPMENTandCONTRACTING8 ай бұрын
Considering the state of the country, I agree. The question is, will most younger people WANT to do these trade jobs. IMO, more-and-more will each year once they realize they can make solid money and the government won't take care of them like they think, i.e. get everything for free without doing any work.

Nah, most kids these days want to be ticktock stars or KZfaq celebs. They want to hang out on a screen. Most people these days don’t know what real work or labor is.
@justindressler59927 ай бұрын
@@arianewell6252 maybe your right, hard work may be over. But I guess then the next generation has no right to complain about affordable housing. Someone has to lift the hammer or nothing will be done. The real problem is we don't reward the hard working class anymore we treat them like disposable things. Our nations were built on strong hard working people not virtual signalling irrelevant youtubers (not to be too critical some youtubers work exceptional hard). I for one think working smarter is the primary concern of business but we can't leave behind the labouring jobs. I bricky and carpenter should get as much respect as a doctor if they commit their lives to the profession.

Average is right because of foreign workers stealing jobs and some areas don't pay as much and you must factor in non union wages and some trades they include apprentice with journeymen and I am not sure self employed maybe counted in bls stats

Yup. All jobs in the last 5 years or so went to illegals and other foreigners while native born Americans have steadily lost work.
@infinitusomnia24326 күн бұрын
Foreigners can’t steel these jobs, they ether don’t have all the papers or knowledge to do these type of work. And when they work illegally they are underpaid and do the dirty thing that nobody wants to do.

Gatekeepers. I appreciate what unions have done for worker conditions but I'm not up for gatekeeping. And, I meet former union workers but never anyone retired from the union. If it's so desirable then why's everyone on the sidelines calling halls?
