That's a nice fire 🔥 starting kit you have. I have a question what kind of sandals are you wearing with the toe loop on them ? I am looking for a pair of good sandals like These to wear for kayaking 🛶 because I have to kayak barefooted 👣 because I have big very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 sz15 6E wide ( which is very very extremely wide feet 🦶 ) with very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. My foot outgrow shoes , socks , & boots when I was young & this is why I have to kayak 🛶 barefooted 👣 style. I would appreciate your help. Good video buddy thanks you for sharing it.

Awesome video! Are all the campsites first come first serve, or must you reserve them? Oh and Martins is so delicious!

Great video. Do you recall the campsite name/number for that Nantahala site (island)? I can’t locate it on their website.

just a heads up, try to keep it out of the sun and try to keep some kind of uv protectant on it The plastic bits that are attached to the boat do not hold up well to the sun. I can also confirm that the gear tracks provided do not work well. The scotty ones seem to work pretty good.

Shovel your shit, keep the fireplace stacked properly, clean up after yourself. 66 is a dream. The trail was flooded as of June 2nd 2024. If you’re reading this, have fun.

This was a good review of your Ascend H12 man. I am thinking about getting one myself for a 2nd kayak for kayak camping. I do have a question buddy you mention about you have big feet 🦶. Just curious how big are your feet 🦶 because I have really big feet 🦶 too I am worried about my feet 🦶 not fitting in the kayak. But that was a good deal you got on the kayak. Do you know how comfortable the foot rest are cuz I have to kayak barefooted 👣? This was a good video buddy thanks you for sharing this video.

I live near the Park and use back-country sites once in a while. -- Seems reasonable that some of the Park it Forward money could be used to create a dozen more new sites. -- As seen in this vlog they are not fancy -- and this one featured is the only one I have visited that is not a more flat usable surface. -- - jus sayin' -- The Park should have received over 5 million $ during 2023 but I have yet to see much done for improvements except for blocking off parking along Hwy 441 - It is ironic to spend money to create less parking for folks required to pay for it.

I live like 5 miles from this, we kayak all the time, but I haven't done this one yet. We backpack quite a lot, actually just got home from doing camp # 93 near Twentymile Creek about an hour ago! This one I'm definitely gonna do next summer when the water is back up again. Thanks for posting this!
