Another great video, Chris. I am going to buy a Spyder RT Limited but $2K more for the Sea to Sky, I just don't see the value in it for me. I do agree that if it was a used one with the right color. Safe travels.

My wife’s 2023 S2S rides a whole lot better than my 2022 RTL. There’s a big difference in the suspension and how it feels. It’s more than just the seat. The S2S is my dream bike.Ride Safe out there!

Good comparison video! And good comments from other riders. It basically comes down to personal preference, what you need versus what you want and what is your style of riding. To me, there are no wrong choices whether it's the color, the options or the accessories added after. The Spyder is simply a great touring machine. Cheers Chris

I spent a couple of hours on a 2023 Sea to Sky through the Can-Am Experience. The leader thought for sure with some of my physical disabilities that the Sea to Sky seat was a must have. I convinced her I truly needed to try the RT Limited and did so between the Experience runs. That 15 minute ride sold me on the RT seat which totally surprised her and the dealer. Sometimes just Sometimes firmer is just better. 2300+ miles later and it still feels that way to me.

We have a 2023 S2S which comes with 4 adjustable wind deflectors, No luggage came with it . Obviously our S2S has the ultimate seat and never have driven a RT Limited I cannot compare the seats.

Interesting video. If you, as a rider, are going to ride long distance, multi-day trips (And isn’t that what the Can Am Spyder RT Limited, Sea to Sky, and every other bike made for touring are all about), it really comes down to two things: How comfortable is the seat and how good is the wind/weather protection. Of these two items the seat is probably the most personal regarding the preference of the rider For me I found the seat on my 2021 Can Am Spyder RT Limited to be too narrow and too soft and had a custom seat made which was wider and firmer. I also added a taller and wider windscreen, I’m 6’3” and needed the additional height. With these two changes the Spyder went from being a good long distance mileage eater to a great one. This is a bike that is so comfortable that at the end of a 375+ mile day you don’t feel like you’ve been beaten up by the elements.

I was at the dealer and sat on both of them the Sea to sky seem to have a taller wider seat compared to the RT limited that's it low so that threw the handlebars off for me

My StS was a 21 and the adjustable vents were an option. I had the opportunity to choose between vinyl 92 and 103 so I took the later one. Added the adjustable vents and the lighted floorboards and the adjustable handle bar riser which not sure is even available. The luggage was also included in the 21 and you or they didn’t mention it Good comparison.

My first upgrade on the seat was adding a Show Chrome Grande seat back. My comfort improved greatly on my 2021 RT Limited. I followed that up with an Alaskan Leather Sheepskin short pile seat pad and the swamp ass syndrome was completely gone. I would like to add a gel seat insert under the factory seat cover for my ultimate comfort. On a shorter rider such as my wife at 5’5” her seat back fully extended forward was a little too shy for her. I removed the seat back cushion and shimmed it out another half inch and now it’s perfect for her. These adjustments to both of our RT Limiteds were tremendously more effective and so much less expensive than a standard Sea to Sky upgrade for just one of our two bikes. I would never recommend spending the extra $3000 for the Sea to Sky model as most of it is badging, wheel design, a slight seat modification and color. Everything also is the exact same. One of our favorite upgrades to our riding pleasure would be the addition of a Cardo Packtalk Edge installation to our helmets. The ability to communicate with each other while riding totally changed our riding experience.

Chris, when you were going down that side street that seemed to be Pedestrianised you came to a cross roads. I noticed to the right of you was that spectacular looking building with the tram lift down the side. Think you might have passed it without noticing? No worries if you did the footage was still very good anyway.

What can I say, another great video with plenty of views of the areas surrounding Cape Cod. I was interested to learn more about the the Kings Highway and here is an extract from Google. The 1,300-mile (2,100 km) long King’s Highway was built from to 1650 to 1735 and connected Charleston, South Carolina to Boston, Massachusetts. It played a critical role in the ultimate independence of the United States from England even though it was ordered to be built by Charles II of England. It is obviously a significant highway joining the two fine City's with lot's of interest and history. Many thanks Chris.

Is there a reason that you didn't buy the charging base? I have it and love it. Once I snap my phone on the quad lock on the handlebars and I start the bike it immediately starts charging. I never have to worry about a dead battery on my phone from usingg the phone as a GPS device and as a player (either Sirius, Apple Music, Spotify, etc.).

As far as I know the XT does not have a temperature sensor. It gets the weather and temperature through your phone via the Drive app. The problem probably has something to do with location services. I don't know for sure, I have never really messed with it.

Have the dealership install a battery tender loop on your battery. There are a number of motorcycle style small compressors that have that type of connector, or you can get an adaptor to change it to an automotive 12 volt. So you can keep your current compressor.
@reaper331983
@reaper331983 9 күн бұрын
Further explanation about the slingmods power outlets. They are not made to handle the amp load needed for a compressor. They use smaller gauge wire that will melt if used for high power accessories. That's why they have such a small fuse installed to keep that from happening. The battery tender wiring is heavy enough that it can handle the amp draw of a compressor.

Very good video Chris and I am amazed how well you pronounce Husqvarna, as an America. Usually I hear weird things like Huska-varna lol. Some historical facts. Husqvarna is not only a company but a town, which has later been incorporated into the Swedish city Jönköping, in the landscape (something like a Swedish province) Småland) Husqvarna is really 2 words put together. Hus means house, and Qvarna comes from an older spelling of Kvarn which means mill. Now, the town spells with a K today, while the company still spell with Q. Same pronunciation. The Hus comes from a small creek where the company started called Husån. The Qvarn, comes from a mill that was situated by the creek near thr old fortress (borg) called Rumlaborg which was supporting defence from Danish invasions, mostly in the 1400s. It was destroyed in the mid 1500s. Husqvarna is an old company that goes back to 1689 as a rifle / muscut manufacturing company. Cheers from Sweden in NC
