I am noticing the front wheels wobble a ton when you were at the tennis court. Is it normal for that to happen? I just bought a used 2.5 and have been driving it on my carpet and I notice my wheels doing the same and thought it was an issue.

@@johnlujan8706 not a bad idea for more forward weight bias. Although brass wheels all around and brass portal covers in the front will achieve the same thing and lower center of gravity better.

Have you tried the Redcat Vigilante? I'm looking into a first big basher rc and the Vigilante or Xrt seem like the options I'm most interested in
@midwestern_rc
@midwestern_rc Ай бұрын
I have not but from what I’ve seen the redcat isn’t the most reliable. The XRT is a good truck. Get a chassis brace from M2C racing. Plan on upgrading the servo and wheels and tires. Oh and the wing mount get a 3D printed one. Then it’ll be able to handle quite a bit of bashing.

Pinion and spur blew apart after first run 20 minutes in field on XRT. Sledge has to be the absolute worst designed truck for an off roader. Would be fine for a street car but the exposed gearing means it’s open to debris. 10 out of 10 would never buy again.

If you’re running it on snow and someone has sprinkled salt then that causes short circuit (don’t think I need to explain how and why. Heavy tires would typically affect the motor, but that wasn’t it.

My punisher is the same. I've been having it since Feb of '21. It'll pick up the front at 50+. I installed a jambo wheelie bar...did not help at all. LOL. And yes. on 6S these motors get super hot and shut off. I cut out the 'windshield' and it helped...a little. But fans are key. I made a tower brace from front to center, and center to rear. Worth each cent...keeps chassis straight.

@midwestern_rc
@midwestern_rc 2 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t worry about earplugs with a 3S car. But it’s essentially the thickest diff oil you can run. Not really oil. Actual silicone earplugs you buy from Walgreens crammed into the center diff on a 6S car (imo still too much) or on an 8S car. It essentially is like welding the diff so there is no differentiating power to one side it’s 50/50. I like Earplugged center diffs on my 8S cars cuz I can do wheelies easier and backflips easier. But it does make turning in a little harder.

I do that in the video and other videos of mine. I wouldn’t focus on making the car faster I would just practice landing on all four wheels as that right there is going to prevent the most breakages and lead to having the most fun.

Sheriff showed up and asked what we were doing and I told him just a couple of overgrown kids playing with overgrown toys. (Had a MTXL and a 5T along with a Xmaxx and a couple of drones in operation) He laughed and said have fun and beer does not count for hydration. ( south TX during the summer)

I have gotten in and out of this hobby so many times every time Arrma comes out with something new I have to get it. I have owned most of them except for the outcast 8s. I must say that my favorite arrma vehicles are the Typhon. 3s is a great basher with a couple of cheap upgrades. And the granite 3s is an unbeatable basher. The Kraton 6s is my go to speed bash King. The 8s Kraton does need some upgrading before bashing it hard it is extremely heavy and takes a toll on those parts

Force yourself to practice smaller jumps until you can get consistent with them. THEN purposely try to make small mistakes so you can learn to try to correct it when it tumbles and there’s less risks of breaking! And most importantly enjoy that process!
