There is NO carpet like a Persian carpet. I grew up in a home full of Persian rugs. They had magical names like, Mohtesham, Serafian, and Bakhtiari, Tabriz, and Bakhshaish. I have all thirteen and to this day they make me smile just as they did when I was a child.

a tad boring as visually it's mostly westerners talking about carpets, rather than carpets themselves

HELLO! VERY NICE VERY NICE DOCUMENTARY! VERY GOOD DOCUMENTARY! APROPO ART CONST Persian TECHNOLOGY design, have nothing, with Islamic idea, priests (Mulla) and do! Why Persian or English, art should be in the Islamic Museum! Has nothing to do, with arbic & islam, to do! Art is from the art of woman / man, and artistic ideas from Folk! No from any religion! There are many women in this industry! THIS religion (I), Idee, is against woman and man (woman / girl)! No rights, and equal thinking in that religion! So I think art and work are from people, not religion! Architect or textile as art from People!

It's rather Persian because the iranian peoples were for all the middle east basically, whereas Persian describes a group within the iranian peoples that concentrates in what's today Iran and Afghanistan.
