South African here so this story is well known locally. If anyone is interested in reading the book of Harry Wolhunter’s adventures it’s title is Memories of a Game Ranger. Thanks for the video.

If you’re bored of tactical black knives, you can make a few in day glow orange or yellow for the Search and Rescue crowed. Since no one is shooting at us, we kinda like being able to find our knife when we drop it. Thanks for the video

No comments? That's terrible. Walter is doing his thing well, as usual.

Pro tip, if you have a wet-saw, it makes cutting the G10 easy. plus no hazardous dust! Also, using disposable bathroom cups for mixing epoxy allows better mixing with no mess.

On his video he mention some manufacturing challenges. I asked if there was a reason not to manufacture the clamp block from 4 different pieces of steel? Two columns, base and top jaw? And have them joined together with bolts?

Try using 1/16 or 1/8” cork gasket material on your disc. Then use feathering adhesive to stick sandpaper on. Stick paper on close to one end. Use exacto knife to cut paper. Use left over paper for hand sanding

The only similarity between these knives and the original is they sort of look like it. You've taken an inexpensive mass produced knife of 1903 and turned it into something else, entirely.

It's pretty insane how many people got started knife making with Walter sorrels. Watched videos a few years before I jumped into knife making. 10 grand in tools later . Now I'm fully invested . Lol

I'm interested in your optical setup briefly visible at 2:58. It looks like a magni-visor, but extended to work with the full-face respirator? I'd love to know more about what you are using there.

How is the carbide attached? I have seen one of these file guides in a KZfaq video and it looked like the carbide was held on by two screws.

Osage orange is wonderful stuff but it’s not Bodark- it is beau d’arc. It works nice when seasoned. I own almost 1/2 mile of it. I’ve made a longbow, some knife handles as well as hammer and axe handles.

Hello Hello From Canada!!! Great job on those beautiful masks. One of the most important qualities of being a craftsman is not being afraid to try something different and you created two totally different pieces of art. I'm new to your channel, but I can't wait to see what I find next. Keep up the awesome content and stay healthy and happy.
