Just a heads up, if you do the personality test that is mentioned here, you have to pay for the results.

Great video. Thank you so much. The Lord has taught me about self care and self awareness and everything you mention is so good. I;ve had burnout so now am very careful not to go there again.

The Lord has taught me loads about self care through having burnout, expecting too much of myself and others and lots of other circumstances. Thank you for this video; it's great to learn from the experience of others who have been there and made the mistakes. As a missionary in Brazil I went through some tough things which led me to need counselling for a while. The christian counsellor was amazing and through that time I became so much more aware of who I am and why I was behaving in certain ways. Loads stems back to childhood, how we were treated or perceived things so knowing yourself is essential, it's not just a list of do this, don't do that and you'll be able to keep going in ministry. It's a constant learning curve isn't it and how gracious God is in revealing bit by bit who we are and how we can look after ourselves in order to keep going in ministry. I'm now able to pass on what I've learnt to others so they can be aware of these things. Thank the Lord He gives us wise brothers and sisters to help us live well for him.

Just a note, these videos are brilliant, but you haven't linked the third video in this series to the end of the second one. Your first two videos have thousands of views but the third one has around 130. If you come in through the "Pastors" playlist, it's obvious, but if you did a search & found video #1, it's not. I would have the video guy go into YT Studio & add Lesson 3 to the end screen. Here's the link for anyone else: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z5aDa8SE39yyfZs.html

I wish you wouldn’t add the words “making disciples”. It says to go and “Teach”. It’s up to them to listen and become disciples. You do the job and don’t take credit by “making” anything.

Much of what you are saying is either opposite to the Bible or just simply not in the Bible. For instance, the NT says nothing about worship music. Also, church is not a place for Seekers to get "saved". Seekers get saved outside of church. Church is a house of prayer and worship only. The church is defined as the "body of Believers". Church is simply the Fellowship of Believers. Seekers getting "saved" at church is only an emotional response. It is not real. Getting saved is solely between the Seeker and God. There are no words or songs that can be said to a sinner to get them 'saved". Only they can be saved when the Seeker allows the Holy Spirit to work with them. Also, the Bible tells us that sinners do not understand the scripture. It is hidden from them. They will not understand preaching or worship music unless they are Believers. Even Paul could not convince sinners or seekers [to accept the gospel] unless they first believed [in God]. Don't think that we are better than Paul at explaining the gospel. So church should be confusing to a non-Believer. A Seeker becomes a Believer on their own time at the working of God and the Holy Spirit only. Also, if you have to "put effort" into convincing your audience that you are not a rock band to be worshipped, then there is something wrong with what you are doing. Plus, although you may be able to convince a small percentage of them, there will be many who worship rock music in church rather than Jesus and God. Why risk leading 90% to hell while only reaching 10%?

Where did Jesus command dedications or where did the Apostles teach it? Jesus did command Baptism and the Apostles taught about Baptism and Baptized.

The easiest way to teach or preach without notes is to select a topic that you have extensive experience or education in. For example, if you teach on a topic that you use to witness, you will have practice and passion. I can speak for hours on getting good grades (John 14:26, Psalms 119:99-100, I John 2:27, James 1:5), evangelism technique, overcoming temptation, how to intercede for others, because these are topics that I have extensive practice in. If I select some topic that is new, it might be flat. I avoid flat sermons, so 99% of the time, I teach a sermon that I taught before. Also If I preach, I teach 3 topics about 10 minutes each with a fiery ending. You need a fiery ending if you are going to do an alter call. I do not prepare too much the first topic or introduction, but rather warm up my voice the first 10 minutes teaching. People remember how you finish, not how you start. I know that this is contrary to what is taught, but you cannot preach 20 minutes, blow out your voice and finish weak, they will never invite you back. And I hear people say about these beginners, "He doesn't know how to preach!"

I also think today, many preachers preach one or maybe two sermons a week. In many churches the lead pastor may preach and prepare one message per week etc. old school would be preaching an AM and PM message on Sunday and a Wednesday night Bible study/message. If I only preached one message per week, I could put more mental eggs into that basket .

When gang members come together and share knowledge, it's called discipleship. You'll be surprised what you can learn from me as well. We are on the same page. You dont have to fear me. Put it this way, I sat down while you spoke. If that's not the biggest act of humility? Then I dont know what it is. Let's protect the set. Blessings blood.
