As an American, I always love stories of North Koreans being able to defect and go on to a life full of laughter and prosperity. We are in Southern California and are glad you got to experience the USA, including our beautiful state. Hope you got to go to Disneyland!

God to be Asian, those beautiful eyes, gorgeous hair, skin and bone structure. If I was Asian I would not dye my hair or get plastic surgery. i just think Many Asians are physically beautiful. I'm glad this woman was able to break free from such a regimented and controlled society. I feel for North Koreans, many are starving while their fat "king" stuffs his piggy face with expensive food & alcohol. The North Koreans really have it rough. I hope this country is liberated sometime in the near future. Kim Jong IL needs to be dethroned.

Whenever I wonder if I'm doing okay raising my little boy, I think of places where fathers aren't expected to be loving. Not only not expected, but actively told to be vicious and ugly to their children in order to "encourage them." I never truly knew what it was to love until I knew I was going to be a father. Now, all I do is to make that little boy feel safe and loved. He, and his mother, are everything to me.

In America most people are not aware of the heavy burden of battle that was carried by South Korean Forces in the Korean War. We only hear about US or United Nations allied forces in the battle to save Korea. Even the North Korean people are becoming aware of how disadvantaged they are and we hope and see the signs for their approaching freedom from the rule of the dictatorship.

I would be proud to share a foxhole with either of you men. The only difference between your selfless dedication to honorable military service, and the USA's is training, equipment, chow, and option to engage in off duty domestic lifestyle. Did not include unit morale. Only thing that universally soldiers love above all else is complaining.

Videos like this make me proud to be an American. We have created a very welcoming culture. We love and care for people. Though we do certain things differently, foreigners respect us. America is the dream of many outsiders. Politics aside, it is the best country in the world. Second to absolutely none and it's not even close. I pray for freedom in North Korea and peace with the United States.
