We bale & then sell the hay - - we provide for several different breeding and training barns and a couple feed stores as well as our normal local clients

The straw really looks beat up by that JD rotor combine. I would think the round baler with net wrap might allow you to collect more than the small square and bale baron system does.

Im torn between the norden 15 bale system or a baron. A buddy of mine here in east tn has a baron that he pulls with 1 tractor and runs 2 1842s in the same field and he says that the barron will keep up with 2 of the 1842s. I'm no where near that big of an operation to need a baron but im definalty needing something better than an maxilator acumagrapple.

Feel free to reach out, email me or find me through DM messages. I can give you my thoughts. - we ran a 15 bale accumulator from Norden since 2014 & just recently expanded to the Baron. It’s a huge investment. But it was getting to the point where we have outgrown and needed to make some changes to better our lives. Not just the operation.

We are busy making hay here in the UK 30 °C yesterday the hottest day of the year so far,quite warm compared to what you will be used to during a heat wave. The spring barley is almost ready for harvesting too, busy bee like yourself 😎

Also known as dust devil by older generations. If you drive thru the center of it, you will disrupt the air circulation and most times that will break up the scattering of the windrow.

We were testing a 1842 in our rebale operation. Put 25,000 bales through it and sent it back to the dealer. We couldn't get it to make a nice "lite weight" bale. So, we canceled our order for 3 of them and ordered 3 new 1840's.

Interesting!!!! I’m still putting bales up at 42-45#s …. I think it’s all about what you’re doing and how you’re doing it!!! We loved our 1840s but the 42S works best for our operation right now!!! Good luck!!!

We’ve been talking to our team, for right now we’ll just roll the bales up if we have to otherwise - we’ll just keep running the small square baler through every field.
