Mercedes 200D,220,240,250D is the same engine block 2.2 L not 2L. And it is the oldest engine block that is still used today, of course modified but the basics are the same.It is the same with a gasoline engine, the marking is not necessarily the correct cubic capacity. Second, these are the models for the American market, the models for the German and European markets are powerful, they have more horse power.

0:40 he shifted far too soon and the car has clutch slip as well 1:02 You expect me/us to believe itsva standard 1.8 8v cause its not!!! I thought it was a acceleration battle for standard Golf's not some stupid people putting big Turbos on and ruining the poor car... its not clever, it's dangerous! The chassis was never designed to have stupid idiotic 1200bhp. Up to 300 maybe. You can't use that sort of power on the road!, I bet the person is a right bullion the roads, people like this are and the Traffic Police are clamping down on the anti social/driving/bullying.... serves you right the people who are doing it. You want to go kill yourself go ahead but dint take innocent people out as well. Go book a track day and do it there.
