I kinda figured it'd have to be something like this + getting *very* lucky, unfortunately I just do not have the time or patience to grind it out for what would ultimately be a pretty unsatisfying fight against one of the more annoying bosses in the game... But thanks for breaking it down!

Ah yeah true, that is one thing I didn't think of, I think this would've been only slightly more effective than just punching them *at best* though.

People think rockets are gonna be sooo easy, but I think there's honestly a lot of enemies that will be annoying.

Yeah honestly it turns out this combo of weapons is not only viable but actually pretty fuckin powerful on it's own... My only real complaint is that it's just kinda boring lol

While I don't agree to the full extent that backseating should be tolerated because it "comes with the territory", I definitely realized I went too hard on it this stream in an effort to avoid anything and everything that could be construed as a spoiler, and I regret it, and I have handled it differently since this stream. At the end of the day though, I don't agree that streaming has to be completely at odds with not getting unwanted advice or spoilers and I "could just make a video otherwise". I think that's as naive of a perspective as you're claiming me to have. But I will (and have already many times over) admit that I learned a lot from this stream and ultimately wouldn't handle little comments and advice about the game the same way as I did here.

Honestly you have nothing to really apologize for, I think my behavior in this stream was worthy of criticism, but I do hope some people will see my side and understand that while I have strong convictions about this topic I still am a human being who makes mistakes, all I can do is just correct it and hope people understand one mistake doesn't define me.

I honestly agree with pretty much everything you said here but one shotgun has to be the worst, and it's not like it's bad or useless, I just think unfortunately the sawed-on is the default 3rd variant for me, just not as useful as the other variants for me. I dunno if you watched the whole VOD but I did have a better appreciation for it by the end, which is the goal of these playthroughs ultimately.

oh and btw, for the next runs, you can break the glass at the beginning with kb and then a vent in that room and just go back to kill the filth

I just did it for the meme on the pistol playthrough, I was playing on this exact same save file and had everything unlocked there as well, it's not like an actual rule of this challenge that I'm imposing on myself, I just did it for fun and cause it felt appropriate with pistols.

@@DumpsterManVODs i think its better at higher levels of play where you can hit the early split every time and are swapping every shot. it turns the slabs from a secondary burst into a constant barrage of high damage at long range. hitting multiple of them in a row also makes slabsman extremely powerful single target and a serviceable cleanup tool for stragglers also, im still watching, but in case nobody has told you, firestarter actually removes explosive resistance for maurice and soldiers so utilizing that might make the rocket launcher part more bearable

How "high level" are we talking here? Like, again, it ultimately comes down to opinion, but if the slab marksman is not that good or useful for 99% of players, then I'm inclined to say it's just not very good. Full stop. The real issue in my mind though, is that even if you get really good at hitting those hammer resets consistently, then it's only as good as how long you're willing to main the pistol and just swap between the slab variants to deal damage. Which, if you're hitting the sweet spot every single time, isn't a *terrible* strategy, but I feel like "high level" play is also very reliant on using the whole arsenal effectively and situationally, so color me skeptical that just pistol swapping ultimately makes as huge of a difference as you're suggesting. Again, I'm willing to be wrong, as there are lots of people better than me at this game who might have a better qualitative read on this than me, or just chalk it up to a difference in opinion or playstyle, but I personally just don't see it as being all that amazing.

@@DumpsterManVODs true, pistol swapping isnt really the main damage of the arsenal , but hammer mitigate basically the only major downside of reloading. it turns slabs into a really nice option if you dont want to get in close for whatever reason, and just makes them feel more reliable im mostly just a cyber grinder, but at some point the directed damage of slabs and slab splits is a bit more appealing to me when default split shots just disappear into the sheer enemy density, and the quick and easy 5.25 bursts is nice for special enemies. a lot of people talk about the versatility and power of the default but for many enemies it doesnt actually matter that much. swordsmachines and maurices die best to shotguns and just general collateral from being around explosives, cerbs die better to rockets and other combos, etc. so it really just comes down to the multitarget of default vs the single target of alt. of course, default marksman is still the obvious option for speedruns but alt marksman's buff for me has turned it from the niche quirky choice (like default piercer or blue nailgun pre-jumpstart) to an actually powerful option. although i also felt that slabsman wasnt terrible before as a sort of mini-burst in combos with only the cooldown of a slab pistol, so maybe im a bit biased

Appreciate the response, I still think I stand by what I said, I think a lot of things in this game shine in perfect circumstances but if you aren't specifically putting yourself in circumstances where that thing shines then it is also important to consider if something else gets the job done better. I am also not a cybergrinder so I like to prod a little when someone says something I thought was kinda weak is actually amazing, *usually* I come to find out they are just... Playing the game differently than me, which is totally fair, but muddies the water a little.

I don't think it will be *harder* personally, but I do think chat is overestimating the rocket launcher on it's own, I think that's gonna be second hardest but we shall see.

Something I found fun was that you can projectile boost any shot if you're fast enough.

Roblox at this point is a game with so many well-documented cases of child abuse of all sorts that I genuinely do question why people who aren't children that just don't know any better still play and support it, I 100% will stand by that sentiment every day of the week. I don't actually think everyone who plays it is a child or a predator, I thought it was *abundantly* clear that was a joke (nevermind that it's not even my own words, I just quoted it directly from chat). But in general if I were you I'd refocus the negative energy you feel from me slandering Roblox, a multi-billion dollar company, instead towards the platform that turns a blind eye to and even profits off the abuse of children.
