Lol........I debated whether to leave it on cutting room floor, or include it. Had to include, you don't see something like that everyday (thank goodness🤣). I was surprisingly not impressed by Mount Rushmore, I think I expected it to be bigger with all the hype since elementary school. Not saying it wasn’t nice, just had too high of expectations I guess. The view from iron mountain road seeing it after the 360° and through the rock tunnel was super cool. Next year we plan to do Oshkosh in July then Sturgis in August, can’t wait, definitely the best riding in the country. The thunder hail storm last year was insane last year, like 1.5” in 5 minutes, cars crashed into trees along the road, one hiker we saw was all beat up, no helmet and no shelter with baseball sized hail wasn’t a good time, we missed the actual hail but only my a few minutes.

@waynenocton Yes, that view through the tunnel is excellent! One day I hope to do Oshkosh. That hail can be something else. I lived in Oklahoma for years, and they too have some huge hail storms. That's something not to mess around with, if it can be helped. You be safe out there, and appreciate you watching and the comments!

@@billschreiber Oshkosh is awesome, I drove in and camped in 2021, always flew in prior, and swore I’d NEVER drive in again, but I just got a 40’ motorhome so I’m reconsidering it lol. 2023 we trailered to Surrgis, and I bought a little trailer to pull behind my ultra classic, and rode home the long way, 4,250 miles with the wife and the jack russell which was awesome, did a couple nights in Nashville, did the tail of the dragon, then Myrtle beach before heading back to Pennsylvania, was such a great trip. Enjoyed your video, well written, just enough talk, footage, and music, you definitely have a talent for it, look forward to more.

@indianbill3123 We went right by it, but didn't stop. It looked cool from what I could see. Out of all the small towns we visited on this trip, my favorite was Cooke City. It was small enough to be inviting, but big enough to have plenty to do. It had a good vibe and ambience, and the Beartooth Cafe was excellent. Thanks for watching.

What an epic trip! I really enjoy your videos, mainly because they are done tastefully. I appreciate that your videos aren’t filled with language that I wouldn’t want my grandkids, or my wife to hear. I love the scenic views from the highway, it allows me to see places I’ve always dreamed of seeing on a motorcycle. Thank you for sharing this awesome adventure with us.

There’s lots of good videos out there, they show great places to ride and many are good information to help service your bike etc, but the language is so bad, I just turn it off. Hey Jeff! Thank you. Part 2 may be a few weeks. I've exceeded my computers hard drive (videos are memory hogs). I've ordered a new larger hard drive which was supposed to be here already, but still waiting on it. I can't work on part 2 until I get the new drive (modern world problems....lol). Another awesome video Bill. I spent a "little" time down in the southwest with my brief 25 year career with the U.S. Border Patrol. Spent some time at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, NM, as an instructor and a couple of tours in El Paso. I have never been to Monument Valley, but it is on my "bucket list" of places to ride to. After watching your videos, I can't wait for my upcoming motorcycle trips this summer. Cheers!

Not sure how you feel about the whole border thing (not trying to be political here), but we (US) sure need to get that under control in my opinion. Thank you for your service, as I’m sure it was a risky job at times. Thanks for working to help protect this great country of ours! The Monument Valley ride and scenery was so awesome, you’ll love it and I sure hope you get to go there. Yes, winter took too long! Lol. Starting to get some rides in finally. @@billschreiber I Joined the Border Patrol way back in 1995 and moved from my home state of Mississippi to San Diego, CA. I transferred up to Washington state after 9/11 and retired here a few years ago. The border back then was every bit as bad as it is right now, but not politically. We were actually allowed to enforce the law back then. And yes, the border needs to be under control. A nation without secure borders, is not a secure nation. Ask the Roman Empire how that worked out for them 😁 Thanks again Bill! I look forward to checking out all of your videos! Paint side up...Rubber side down my friend!

Another great one Bill! I did this ride from Northwest Washington state in 2019 with two of my U.S. Border Patrol buddies. We absolutely loved riding in the Black Hills! I think Needles Highway and Iron Mountain road were my two favorites...And all of the buffalo in Custer State Park. I am getting ready for a week long run to Glacier National Park Montana in a couple of weeks and then Crater Lake National Park in late June. Keep'em coming, you do great work!

Great video Bill! I just stumbled on this one. I am an avid motorcyclist for the last 38 years. I grew up in an old Mississippi river town in the Mississippi Delta and after high school moved to the west coast via my brand new (then) 1985 Honda V65 Magna. I am now retired and live in the Pacific Northwest and ride many multi-state motorcycle tours every spring and summer. Your video brought back many good memories of Natchez, Port Gibson and the Natchez Trace Parkway. My maternal grandmother was born in Vidalia, Louisiana, across the river from Natchez and my Grandfather was born in Natchez! Thanks for sharing.

Just FYI…as we speak the tail of the dragon is getting a repave on the TN side of US129…there is also curve barriers installed in switch back and hair pin turns to prevent crossing the double yellow line. Apparently common sense has yet to work so there you go. Enjoy the dragon….

Yes, been catching wind of that from some facebook feeds I belong to. Should be nice once they are done. I did see pictures of the curve barriers, but assumed they were fictitious and someone was posting the pictures to get a rise out of folks. Didn't know that was true. You ride safe!
